This week, we're exploring the world of literature. The highlight of France's literary year comes in the autumn, with the publishing world's annual awards season. Among the different high-profile prizes to be won is the Prix de Flore, which is celebrating its 25th edition. These prizes offer young and promising authors the chance to win a sizeable cheque, but more importantly the type of coverage which can launch their career and also that of their publishers. We tell you more.

Well, French Literature needs to be translated all over the world. To reach global readers it needs translation. And it should start from old neglected ones. People only know La Miserable, Alexander Dumas, Moliere, Satre, Simon De. B, Victor Hugo, Voltaire, Montaigne. French philosophy should be translated more. Merci

Much of French literature written in the last 60-70 years has been of Mediocre quality at best. Hence the reason why the anglo-saxons dominate the literal space, due to the fact that british people are far more gifted at telling stories than French people. That's a fact.

That’s an incredible short video about the book industry in France, as a French new learner, I know more about the reading culture of France. Hope more videos about this will be taking soon. Well, the English countries are good at advertising their books, however the books may not be that inspiring of those of French/other nation’s.
