Program Notes:
As the title suggests, French Quarter Recollections is a work that was inspired from my experiences exploring New Orleans. The piece aims to evoke the imagery of various endroits in the French Quarter, such as Bourbon Street, Café du Monde, as well as the ubiquitous charming architecture and shops. In addition, the work alludes to overlapping sounds of people singing, drinking, playing music, and dancing, all in harmony with each other.
