I argue that it doesn't matter whether or not Mr. Incredible could break out of a Force choke. Going explicitly by the canon of both movie series, we know that Force users are capable of temporary brainwashing/hypnosis, even if the person they are using it on is expecting it. We also know that Mr. Incredible is susceptible to hypnosis, as we see Evelyn hypnotize him, his wife, and many other supers in Incredibles II. Therefore, all that needs to happen is for Darth Vader to mind trick Mr. Incredible into not resisting for a few minutes so that he can Force choke and kill him without any resistance.

See, the problem the lads had here was that none of them established the terrain, which everyone knows is crucial to any battle. Who's on the offence? Is this a city, a jungle? Mister Incredible COULD possibly sneak up on Vader, but there are times where Vader has detected potential threats with the force, so this isnt likely to work. Catching him monologuing wont work either, as Vader isnt outright oblivious. He is smart, arrogant, and spiteful, but not stupid or unobservant. Even in his time as Anakin, while he may have been unobservant in some fights in the expanded universe, if anything, Anakin learned from his mistakes. This carries over as Vader's experience. While it isnt IMPOSSIBLE to catch him by surprise with something, or catch him monologuing, it is still very unreliable. While yes, Incredible CAN throw and manipulate VERY large and heavy objects, throwing objects at Vader wont work: Vader has shown to be extremely effective at manipulating large, and even multiple objects, at once with the force. Yes, it does take some time, but with how to force can be bent by a Jedi, a Sith Lord of Vader's caliber can easily stop large objects like a car or tree. It would take a very large object to pose a significant threat to Vader, such as a building, but using the force to keep the area AROUND Vader safe from the building would be easier than stopping the building itself. This would mean Incredible has to get in melee range to have a chance. Vader COULD force-choke Mister Incredible, though admittedly, it would likely take longer to choke him out due to the Super-Physicality. This can even stop or slow him down significantly, to where his "super speed" is irrelevant. Assuming Mister Incredible COULD break free from the force grip, getting into melee with Vader is nigh suicide, unless you are also a sabre-weilding Jedi/Sith. Even with THAT, it is still nearly suicidal. While Mister Incredible CAN take some real heavy hits, we dont know for sure if the lightsabre COULD hurt him or not. Conclusion: Mister Incredible COULD potentially beat Darth Vader, but there are a LOT of "if"s in this, so his chances would be incredibly low. Batman would wipe them both out easily, though. No contest.

My argument is that Mister Incredible could beat him if sneaked up on him and threw something at him, as the films show that it is possible to sneak up on him (I am only counting the original films, as later films, books and other media gave Darth Vader new abilities). The films also show that the Force (or at least, any character's command of it) cannot exert as much force as Mister Incredible can and as Mister Incredible is extremely accurate, he definitely wouldn't miss unless something interfered with the projectile's trajectory; if he threw something heavy enough at Darth Vader, it wouldn't be possible to interfere with it, as Darth Vader wouldn't be able to exert enough force with Force-push to redirect it in time.

Edit 2: I'm inspired to look up some hard numbers to support Mr. Incredible's feats i.e. lifting the Omnidroid and catching the suicide jumper. Edit 2.5: Syndrome's profile on Mr. Incredible states he can lift "in excess of 55 tons" = 110,000 pounds if US tons, or 121,254 pounds if metric tons. Meanwhile Anakin/Vader's lifting feats only go up to "several hundred pounds without the assistance of the Force". Anyway Bob held up through electrical torture while lightning damaged Vader's suit and killed him, so Bob wins in durability points. Edit 3: If the defense of Han Solo catching Vader off guard and Vader catching Palpatine off guard is essentially "he knew the other guy was there, he just didn't care", that makes Vader-Palps look WORSE in threat assessment than if they hadn't sensed their opponent.

I want to point out that Darth Vader's full force capabilities have never really been shown or explained in the OT. The most ever seen of his force powers were deflecting blaster bolts and force choking. I'd argue it cannot be accurately stated his force power aren't what is shown in the expanded content through simply just never having a scene where they are needed. This can be further backed up by the fact that every scene he's in is one where such extreme abilities are not necessary as he's typically interrogating someone or in a lightsaber duel in an inclosed space. With this all in mind, it's difficult to say that he isn't capable of say just grabbing Mr. Incredible with the force and crumpling him like a soda can or piece of paper.

The force is a force, it is a projection of strenght. There generally isn't something like super strenght to a ridiculous degree in the star wars universe. Mr incredible could combat the force with his own strenght, it is even possible for him to flex his neck muscles hard enough to make force choking impossible. Many times in star wars cannon we are shown creatures that a force user cannot defeat, if we acknowledge the expanded universe that is. Anything from a rancor to a Krayt dragon, these beings possesed great strength and couldn't be hurled or choked throught the force alone. The force is a pathway to many powerful abilities but it isn't omnipotent even darth vader struggled with opponents at times in the expanded universe that is. However i do not think throwing would be effective againts him he doesn't need to throw back all he needs to do is stop the projectiles in space before they reach him as mr incredible is a super hero he has morals and won't continue a reckless assault using cars if he sees it as ineffective, mr incredible will have to overcome darth vader in melee combat i believe this could be accomplished and would be down to whom could be faster or trickier, mr incredible would simply have to rip out vaders cybernetic arm (his saber arm naturally), and vader would need only one slice to defeat mr incredible, however vader was vane as such i believe it would be unlikely he would go for the killing blow, he would prefer to stab mr incredible in an area where he cannot recover from so that he can gloat his victory, then depending on mr incredible tenacity he could lunge at vader to disarm him or even crush his skull. I think this is clearly a more equal fight than might originally be assumed, we also must say that mr incredible has superior meme potential which surerly counts for something.

I disagree on that last part. Vader only monologues to people he knows personally. He didn't give a shit about any of the rebels he slaughtered in Rogue One, or the Jedi in the Jedi Temple. He has no connection to Mr Incredible, and would likely prefer to end the fight quickly if he can. If not, THEN he starts talking. I do agree that it is quite an even match

To hijack the other reply vader also only monologs when he knows he will when, along with the kreyte dragon they are special as they have a resistance to the force and to lights sabers as well so they are natural a tough opponent for a force user. Along with this if in a more populated area like a city then Darth vader would have no problem using regular civilian as meat shields. Along with this the more open an area the more Darth vader could just throw his lightsaber at Mr incredible and kill him that way.

I learned a lot about how Pixar’s team thought about designing Mr Incredible as a clear riff off of the Superman style, while also giving him such a well varied skillset that feels justifiable, unlike say, heat vision.

I'm all in favor for more powerscaling content. Although I know nothing about either of these two characters as much. If I was to have an opinion, the deciding factor would be if Mr. Incredible could get past the force. If he could, then I don't think Darth Vader from the original trilogy could have the durability to survive multiple attacks from Mr. Incredible. From what I've seen and heard. Although the expanded universe Darth Vader would most likely stomp Mr. Incredible with just overpowering him. Seeing the expanded universe is like planet or around there. And I doubt the Incredible's verse is anywhere near that level of power.

Honestly, I am not really a huge fan of either franchise, but I still feel Vader should get the win. The argument of lifting Mr.I into the air is a pretty good one and Harry never really had a real counter for it other than he might be able to overpower it... With brute force... Invulnerable to high levels of...". Harry taking information from a DVD extra is also contradictory to his stance of not accepting external source material. The DVD was made after the movie was in cinemas, and the information they provide isn't always correct. In the Mortal kombat: scorpion's revenge movie there is a tarkatan warrior that in the DVD release is erroneously referred to as "Baraka". He dies during the movie, but in the sequel to this film appears ANOTHER tarkatan warrior that ALSO gets referred to as "Baraka" in the DVD release, while ALSO wrongly referring to one of the characters as Mileena. All of this is because, while making the sequel, the director of the movie changed his mind about certain aspects of the plot, as well as being on a tight budget and having to cram a lot into this movie that, as far as they knew at ths time, would be the last movie in the series

A turning point in this argument was when bowl stated that Mr. Incredible was light enough to be picked up by the force, and since he had no grip, he would be helpless. While Mr. Incredible would have no grip, it is false that he would be helpless. Since both sides agree that Mr. Incredible is Incredibly strong, there should be no problem imagining Mr. Incredible clapping his hands together to create a shockwave and knock Darth Vader down, thus disrupting the force hold. Darth Vader wouldn't be able to stop it with the force because it has no physical form, and while he could sense the danger from Mr. Incredible he would not expect him to do that. With Vader knocked down, Mr. Incredible can use his super physicality speed to reach Vader and end the fight.

We never see Vader exert any effort in the OT so scaling his power based off of that is worthless. He was toying with Luke in ESB and blatantly trying to lose in ROTJ. We never see Vader truly exert himself, also there are plenty of Disney canon sources that show Vader lifting shit much beyond what Mr. Incredible could do, but if we're just going by Lucas written shit then we can look at the prequels and, to an extent, Clone Wars and Rebels, where we see force users move at super speed, deflect automatic blaster fire, and perform feats of agility much beyond Mr. Incredible, to a point where Vader could easily close the gap if he tried to range him out. Incredible stands no chance since the force already offers a lot of what his super physicality does as well as incredibly powerful telekinesis, which Mr. INncredible is known to be weak to.

Forgot to say that Mr incredible isn't immortal, he can be hurt as shown my the movie when he fought the omnidroid in the volcanoe, he was harmed by the foot of the omnidroid in which it used as fan blades. Mr incredible is vulnerable to dying as he avoids the fan blads as they were in lava, making it hot and dangerous to Mr incredible. He can also be finished of relatively quickly if done correctly by say, syndrome or perhaps a saber made out of pure plasma? Even then, both of our fighters are still human, they can still easily die pretty quickly regardless of how much strength they have

The guy's also introduced in proper casually hoisting a man in the air with one hand, later physically blocks blaster bolts without issue and could walk under his own power while getting electrocuted by the Emperor's lightning where Luke was completely incapacitated. It'd be a stretch to say he's the equal of Mister Incredible, but the guy would be far tougher to put down than an "ordinary" human like Syndrome.
