That closing line of "Those two deserve each other" sums it up rather nicely. Body shaming is a completely abhorrent act, but when a victim decides to perpetuate the cycle, any sympathy they otherwise deserved goes out of the window. I can understand and agree with feeling sympathetic and empathetic towards the fact that "Anne" had been bullied over her lack of fitness, but when she chose to participate and become a bully herself, there is no excuse for her. In a sense, she is almost worse than the people who first bullied her, since she knows how horrible bullying feels for the victim and decided to perpetrate the act anyway.

Id like to point out, that bodyshaming is a thing. I do have a thicker body, because I am thicker my weight may look 'fatter' in the numbers than I actually am. I was in middle school, 6th grade. Ten years old, and my gym teacher who wouldnt let me exercise due to the fact I didn't have a uniform. Called me way overweight. And that fucked with my mental health so much, it made me have a binge and starve myself. Of course, then sophmore year, my teacher had a obesity chart that stated I was obese. (5'3 163. Most of them are in the curves) and that I should be 110. Something my mom who is built skinnier then me can't even do. So yes, bodyshaming is a bad thing that affects the youth. But glorfying obesity is always bodyshaming. Shaming someone for being skinnier is bad, and makes people want to overeat and get an ED from it. People are stupid, as much as we want to admit we are smart. Everyone has a dumb moment and some are dumber than others.
@thewanderingmistnull2451 Жыл бұрын

@legrandliseurtri7495 Жыл бұрын
@Billie King BMI charts have indeed called me dead a few times. Right now I'm barely above the underweight category.
@jy61 Жыл бұрын
5'3 163 is big even for a built man of that height. Like, built muscular dudes at that height would only be maybe 140 or so. It's not morbidly obese, but regardless of your genetics it should definitely be much lower for what would be considered healthy levels. There's no such thing as "most of them are in the curves". That's just fat, the same as being overweight normally. I don't type this to make fun of someone having been overweight. I just wanted to address the idea that having a "thicker body" could cause your healthy weight to vary that drastically. There's about 30 lbs of variance for a healthy weight (unless you're a power lifter or something, but these are niche exceptions) and there's no such thing as being "big boned" or anything like that with regards to affecting what the healthy weight range is. 163 is far outside that range. Note that 163 at 5'3 is just overweight, though. Not obese. I have no idea what was up with that teacher's chart. 110 is within the healthy range, but in the middle. So one could be like 20 lbs heavier than that and still not be overweight.
@Mekirah Жыл бұрын
Oh no, I agree. I just personally wanted to point out how some people think of weight is. 160 pounds was not healthy, and I should've gotten my weight checked sooner/diet. I did lose 20 pounds, and I'm quite happy right now.

Watching Volkeh and Annie’s argument in x0.25 speed to be able to keep up with the chats gives it a very ominous final-boss-esque feeling.

The fight between Volkeh and Annie will go down as one of the greats in the French Baguette multiverse

The main problem with our antagonist is that's shes an insecure narcissist. But mainly, by viewing herself as a victim, it blends anyone's words into something that can hurt her and further her insecurities as she spirals. It is sad to see 😢

Honestly, with how much Annie was using mental gymnastics, I am surprised that this conversation even happened

Well, there's no chance of her doing physical gymnastics.

The cow comment could've been so easily clarified and moved past if Annie show even an iota of restraint or forethought. If you see any mention of fitness or an unrelated comment as an attack on your body type, that's much more telling of who's actually insecure about it than it is any sort of bodyshaming.

The new outfit that kay wore is alo looks good on her. Heck i want ace attorney with Phoenix wright and Kay Faraday teams up now. Its easy to set up really, just make edgeworth in trouble

I had an argument like this once irl, I ended up becoming the strange middle way between FC and Volkeh, actually giving a lot of the same arguments (my brother studies P.E. and won't shut up about it, but you learn a lot of useful stuff for arguments like these) and mixing the Volkeh slurs. Including this gem I want to share bc I was just as tired as FC by the end of it. "Oh, sorry, I don't speak Ravioli Genocide. If you fall from a chair you fall from both sides at the same time"

Wh- what? Annie has a PHILOSOPHY degree and she's that insane??? Thinking everything revolves around her and seeing insults towards her where there's literally nothing... How... What the hell 😭😭

with her having a god damn philosophy degree you'd expect her to have a grasp on ideas like enkrateia

Philosophy has a tendency to attract insane people. I personally think this is because they think this can give them insight and perspective on their problems which currently eludes them. Sometimes it results people like Kierkegaard reviewing their issues as personal failings. Sometime it results Mill's viewing life as an equation. Sometimes it produces distilled de-humanising insanity like Althusser.
