pretty sure it's more distorted and faster mostly. less distorted than Terror, but more than your typical hardcore

its exactly as the the name implies, uptempo means faster tempo/bpm. as for other subgenres of hardcore just listen to the differences in kick sounds and melody like is there less or more, is it all about the bass and is it fast or is it slow(when I say slow I mean like 140bpm). Hardcore sits around 160-180bpm so subgenres like Industrial generally sit below that also some oldskool 90s Gabber is a bit slower. And then above that you get Uptempo of course and Frenchcore n Speedcore and then Terrorcore which is 250bpm and higher. Easiest way is to just listen on here and let autoplay take u thru the genres after a bit it plays stuff similar to what u were listening to and take note of the description and comments and that will teach u. Enjoy..
