I heard a radio program many years ago, about people with disabilities. The disabled person said they call the rest of us ‘TAPS’, temporarily abled persons, because eventually something happens to all of us. I have experienced disabilities in a few different ways. Today, at 67, my hands are terribly arthritic, but I continue to find different ways to get the next renovation task done. Take care. You’re doing a fine job!!

You do a lot so when you can't do it all due to pain, STOP, and take care of yourself. I think you and Loaf and your boys are amazing on a adventure most families would never attempt. Continue to be brave with your big heart💙💛💗

Great team effort everyone ! That cabinet when I saw it I went "hmm not sure if that will look good ? "and you did ! Fabo job on it :) I work for myself and I restore Leather and mid century furniture and boy I get great joy out of recycling a piece ! I myself have a broken down body 6 ops on my L) knee, 3 ops on my L) shoulder, Arthritis in my thumb joints and a stress fracture on my L) foot My main career,I was a Male Nurse 6'4" big Australian not the dainty type either :) So I was the lifting machine back in the day and now my body is paying for it :( Here is the motivation that will keep you going if feeling down, it helps me to keep going if I'm feeling sorry for myself. I think about all the patients I have nursed who were battling cancer or became paraplegics and they would do anything to have my broken body The other, which helps me is when I'm walking, I am pushing myself for that extra kilometre is to think of all those WW1 soldiers who were shell shocked, wounded or battle weary and they had to march in the mud in pain to the next battle and hopefully live to see another day ! My extra kilometers is nothing to me after thinking this. Some days pain is so annoying but be happy that your getting around, breathing and living with your family :)))) I watching your videos from the very first one and watching you grow !

Aww, so sorry to see you in pain...don't be too hard on yourself and be gentle with yourself too. I live in chronic pain almost daily and it's not pleasant, especially with the limitations the pain places on you and the things you cannot do anymore. Focus on the good things you can do. Your boys are a wonderful help! The room looks amazing. Sending hugs from Australia. 🤗

Your home is really stunning. I feel your pain & frustration regarding your injury. I’m much older than you but have had to alter my activities since high school due to knee injury resulting in knee replacement. So… keep your head high and take care of yourself as you pace your work.🙏🏻

Thank you for being honest in sharing your life. It's so wonderful to have supportive family. Your condition was probably exacerbated by the stress of the deadline to finish in time. Wow, that was stressful. But, it looks gorgeous!!! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your parents.

Aww it’s ok darling cry if you have to. I know I do. I have an illness that causes me much pain all the time and it’s hard not being able to do what we use to do. I love how the place is coming together. I’d especially love to move back to France. Never lived in the countryside tho but I would love that. Cute little village. Thanks for sharing. French farmhouse flair sent me here. Have a blessed weekend darlings ♥️🙏🏽

I feel your pain, I’m a senior officer in the Royal Canadian Navy, while deployed to Afghanistan 10 yrs ago I was severely injured leaving me with severe nerve dame in my right leg and arm. I, like you have learned to have a somewhat normal life. I was able to stay in the Navy with some caveats but some days it can be frustrating when you look and act normal but can’t do simple tasks. You have the right mind set and a lovely family so don’t let it get you down. Always remember, but for the grace of god go I. Glad your living your dream, my father was an airforce general and we were stationed in France, always wanted to get a manor home. Alas it was not to be, so I’m living through you and others blogs.

I don’t know if this would help … I truly understand when you mention the pain you have after your accident, I had a pretty bad car accident when I was 19 and literally broke everything on my left side ( neck includes0 after a few surgeries I was up and going ( 1 year of intense rehabbing) do you have osteopathic manipulative doctors where you are … that has held me in good stead now that I’m older 9 over 55 I have a small farm that I have totally refurbished and planted etc, in fact I even took up road bicycling at 43 and race at a nationally competitive level. I think it might be worth looking into … but this is different from chiropractic manipulation. D.O.’s like M.D. ‘s go to medical school. I hope this is encouraging… I really like your channel… thank you you and your family are beautiful!!!

Thank you so much for your comment and for sharing your experience. Yes we have an ostheopath, he is also trained in Chinese medicine. He is wonderful and treatment is so helpful. Overall I can do way more than years ago and I am so happy about that. It is amazing how much progress you have made after your accident, so happy for you!

Brilliant. You have excellent taste. As a retired licensed Clinical Psychologist, antidepressants are the first line of treatment for chronic pain. However, you may already be taking them.

Thanks. Fortunately I healed myself from chronic pain and now only have these physical reactions when doing intense stuff like this. Thank God I have never had to take medication but found a way to change my lifestyle and healing techniques to overcome them. But thanks for your kind reply!
