Re VLS-TS From the time you enter France on a VLS-TS, how long do you need to remain in France before you can start traveling to visit other EU countries or even to visit family in your home country, then come back to France again?
Жыл бұрын
Hi Yanni, You can come and go as often as you please within the validity period of your VLS-T.

At 34:28 Diana says that people with a long stay visitor visa who are working for a UK company, and that company allows them to work remotely in France then they can use that visa. This really surprised me and I'm sure it's wrong!? This seems to contradict everything else I've seen and read. Please give me an answer to this as it's an area I'm really interested in.

Hi Peter, While a long-stay stay visitor visa does not allow recipients to work in France or set up a business in France (including setting up as a freelancer or 'auto-entrepeneur' in France), there may be situations in which you could continue earning income from an outside source. However, this is unlikely to apply to the majority of people, and it is highly recommended that you seek expert advice on your specific situation if you plan on working in France. As Diana mentioned in the webinar, work and business visas are not her area of expertise, but we are working on putting together a webinar later in the year that will focus specifically on this, so watch this space! Best regards, Zoe

@ Zoe, thanks for replying so promptly. Really appreciate it. Basically, I live and work in UK for a UK employer but work remotely. I'd love to visit France while continuing to remote work for a few weeks. It will mean I don't have to eat into holiday time and can explore the area(s) in the evenings and weekends and improve my knowledge of the French language. I shall continue to investigate this and would welcome anything you can produce in the future that addresses this definitively.

Hi, excellent information! I have got the french spouse visa - just wonder if I can work for a company remotely in France and unremotely outside France? Do I need to inform the authority for approval? Thank you!

Informative webinar, i have a question. I am in the process of buying a house but in order to apply for my long stay visa i need proof of ownership. I know i will get a Certificate of Ownership when i sign the Acte de Vente from the Notaire. Does this mean i cannot apply for my visa until i have the certificate or can i start the process just before i receive the certificate?

Hi Phillip, It would definitely be best to have the contract before you apply for your visa. Congratulations on your property purchase! Zoe

Hi Alisa, You would only be able to work in France if you have the required work visa and work permits, so it would depend on what kind of visa you have. Best regards, Zoe
