Britney was the *executive* producer of ‘Blackout’ (the album Gimme More appeared on) which means she oversaw the entire creative process, direction, and sound. She picked the producers she wanted to work with herself, and I’m sure she had a certain vision in mind. In fact, the urban/electronic/dance direction reflects the music she was most likely exposed to at the time when she was driving around L.A. at night, clubbing. If it wasn’t for Britney, Gimme More just wouldn’t exist-at least not in the form that we know and love today.

the way i was obsessed with this mashup in the summer of 18' omg... i had no friends but because i lived in an apartment building i would go to the rooftop, especially at night time where the other houses surrounding us could not see me, plus no one would go to the rooftop for some reason, their loss the view was amazing both day and night, and i would blast this and dance carelessly to the beat, if someone saw me they would think I'm crazy but i honestly didnt care,, i was having so much fun even if i was alone,, i would stay there for HOURS on end, up until like 4 in the morning, dancing and not worrying about anything at all... so sad i had to move homes, i miss that place so bad... anyway yall probably didnt read the whole thing, that's okay, moral of my story is this mashup slaps and it makes me feel like a bad bitch
