"so what" x "radar" (mashup) - p!nk, britney spears

First addition to a new series I'm calling "archived mashups" - mashups that I started making a long time ago, but never finished or uploaded, for whatever given reason. 😁
(if anything this is honestly just motivation for me to feel better about posting "random" mashups. I'm always so stuck on wanting my next mashup to be the next best thing (especially since I take 5 month breaks between uploads), but sometimes my fav ideas come from just having fun with my weird campy taste in music)
I made this one for fun around 2020ish, but didn't consider it worth uploading because I thought the idea was too basic and repetitive. The radar instrumental is basically a loop, it really doesn't build up energy and it felt very apparent in the mix.
(now with tons of obsessive editing and stems it feels more acceptable) (also I really love the key it's in)

This sounds good like a real song, it makes me forget the original it works so well. And I relate so much to what you said! There are so many things I didn't want to finish or upload because I felt like it was too simple and I would be the only one who likes it. Wanting to keep it up to the expectations of my subscribers (even a few) has blocked me so much, sometimes almost completely and I'm trying to get out of this so I know it's not easy 👏

!!! I’m glad to see someone understands. I limit myself so much for the exact same reasons. I think it’s hard to always feel valid with a “random” mashup idea when there’s so much new music coming out. It’s like an internal obligation to always post something relevant (and also clean…) (also, unrelated note but I LOVE the design of your channel!)

@@FrenchFriMashups I 100% feel the same. It's nice to talk with someone who has the same "struggle", plus someone so talented like you! (and thanks ! :)) I don't know about you but I'm the shyest person in real life and posting something always asks me a lot. I used to literally have nightmares about getting dislikes and a part of me wish I didn't have subscribers sometimes. The removal of the dislikes helped me a lot into gaining back my confidence to post what I want without having too much anxiety. But I still feel pressured to do my best no matter what I choose to do, which diminishes the quantity of my work but is still a good thing to keep doing better. Sometimes I just wished I allowed myself to care less and have more fun but I'm still to shy for this. For a long time when people praised my work too much I felt like it limited myself to only do as good or better each time so it was hard to just keep it simple and have fun. I takes things more lightly now, but each upload still feels like a victory over all of that :) Anyways, I feel like I'm talking a bit too much lol :)

​@@Bomiloo Hiiii, I don't mean to butt in, but what you've described hits so close to home for me. I'm an extremely introverted person and the posting process is so draining/ANXIETY-INDUCING. The fact you got bad dreams about dislikes, like, I'VE GOTTEN THOSE TOO! I can't believe I came across someone who experienced that!! It’s nice finding someone you can relate with.😅😋 For me personally, I have issues with perfectionism & my social anxiety battling each other. Being shy & introverted alongside those is honestly a mess LOL. I also tend to build a personal attachment to my content, and when I post, It feels like I'm sharing a part of myself to the world to be judged, which is stressful. (Speaking of that, I'll probably read my response 300 times and keep shortening it until I press "Reply") [Update: I did LOL] I’ve been trying to just detach and be more forgiving to myself, because most of the time, my idea of perfection is just not attainable, and I'm being unfair to myself. Like I’m not a professional, I’m some random 🏳‍🌈at home that makes mashups of pop girlies LOL. it’s a journey, but I know it'll get easier overtime. Your honesty is really refreshing, your experiences somehow made me want to share mine too. This is probably just a long-winded way for me to say that these type of conversations are important to have, no matter what & from a fellow mashup maker, you’re not alone in how you feel/think. @@MKmashups I seriously felt like I was reading myself lol, in everything you said. I'm just less friendly and honest but this is totally me ! It's very nice to completely relate to somebody's experience like that, and reciprocally to feel understood I don't know what to add. Trying to write a proper comment but I need to sleep so badly BUT I just wanted to say that I love seeing people just doing whatever they want without that pressure of making something absolutely perfect, that's the way to go! I'm doing the same thing as you with my archived projects, honestly I think most of my next uploads (that are not portuguese mashups) will be remastered old ideas, now that I have better software to extract stuff I can finally make some progress on some mashups
