As a French citizen who was lucky enough to have lived in San Diego, Nice, Paris and Los Angeles, I have to say that Menton is the most wonderful city I ever lived in (from 1997 to 2001). I used to work the front desk at the Hotel Napoléon, and I lived on the avenue Porte de France (next to the café-bar tabac-presse "L'Espadon." Just walking distance from the Italian border (is the rusty iron shaped customs office still there?). Best wishes from Provence (near Marseille).

I visited Menton this past June and loved so many aspects about the charming town. Architecture, color of buildings, and proximity to Italy and other towns along the Riviera easily accessible by train. The scenery of the mountains cascading into the Mediterranean Sea is breathtaking. I would love to come back and stay for much longer. You are so fortunate to live in such a lovely part of the world.

Thank you very much for this beautiful video. I spent all of September 2019 in Menton and walked through the streets of the old town many times. From Menton, I took local buses on several excursions to small villages in the mountains, which also deserve videos. While they may be less spectacular than Menton, they still have a charm of their own.

I was remembering from a previous video that a lot of work was underway along a sea front area to make a promenade and cycle lane….. and then you were talking of it! haven’t they made a wonderful job of that area, it looks so inviting. The Old Town is so beautiful and such a maze of narrow streets and then there’s the amazing indoor market , I could spend ages in there. My husband and I just spent 3 weeks in France this month. We stayed for 6 nights in Menton and used it as a base for exploring the French Riviera. We loved it there! We’re so glad we chose to stay there. Our airbnb had a gorgeous view of Menton too, the newer side though. We ate at La Trattoria and it was so good we went back a few days later. We would recommend that place for sure for Italian food. Thanks for making Menton known for all of us!

Aselya, thank you for sharing this timely video! We were just there last Tuesday (coming by train from Villefranche). Unfortunately, because the trains were delayed several times (and packed!), and because I wanted to stop at the ZOU! Station for a Pass SudAzur (which had a sign in the window saying it was closed randomly for an hour), we ran out of time to see the old town. (We had a scheduled tour of E-1027 that we had to leave for). We only walked into the city about 20 minutes from the train station, which was not enough time to get to the vieux ville. That was unfortunate, because it wasn’t particularly pretty where we were! In any case, your video did a great job of showing us what we missed! One thing is for sure, after our first visit to the Côte d’Azur: we will be back! It’s gorgeous there; you’re very lucky to live in such a beautiful place. So…we will make sure to get around the bend to see the beautiful part of Menton next time! Thanks for the video! À bientôt!

Hi Aselya, I enjoy your videos very much and I look forward to watching them every week. It's so nice to see Menton again. My sister and I spent six weeks in Europe last year. And we spent two nights three days in Menton because of your video. It looked so charming, and we relaxed and had a good time , we even went clothes shopping which we never do in real life and we have very fond memories of Menton❤ and I want to thank you for your dedication and your videos and your love of where you live. Part of me thinks I want to live there too, but I have granddaughters here, so I probably won't. But it's a nice dream. Wishing you and your family all the best❤❤
