Actually ... I referred to the Long Tall Texans at the beginning. They supported us on our Jan / Feb 1987 big tour . Maybe from then !

You've reminded me of a gig I'd forgotten (you know how it is at this age). You, the Texacles ... and maybe the Rapids - Brighton Hanbury Ballroom. Had the option of DAG at the Zap on the same night - and the reason I remember that is it's the only gig I attended in Brighton during two years living nearby. Bypassed it en route to London most weekends. Once bumped into the Texans busking a couple of streets away from my flat. They drew a pretty good crowd. Half an hour later, there they were again - necking pints in my local. Following me around everywhere. Correction: I also attended a big reggae gig at that club down on the front - but with an ulterior motive.
