This is exactly what I needed to learn as an uber-beginner at, well...audio everything! It's hard to find tutorials this clear and concise that cover the fundamentals in an easy-to understand way. The visuals are clutch as well. Thanks!

how has the mixing worked out for you bro? cus im getting into it more now and i see your comment was from 4 years ago.. so maybe you can shed some light

@@payperplane_pilot With proper gain staging and understanding your mixing plugins, the most important thing is to use your ears.

this was really helpful. so the concept of EQ'ing comes down to balancing the "frequencies" of each instrument so they don't sound cluttered and dull. that term "separation" was confusing seeing it on articles etc and this video helped me understand it. thank you.
@bohdansatchuk1611 Жыл бұрын
"Sounds are a composition of many sinewaves which are all at various frequencies and amplitude". Thank you. You seem to be the only person on the internet to actually say it
@tylertucker78202 жыл бұрын
super late to these videos of yours but as a newer producer they're mighty helpful. No one really explains things down for the base concept on youtube; or if they do its hard to find. Great work

I am so bad at theories of any kind, and this is such a great visual aid for those like me who need that to understand it. Thanks for this!!!!
@WickiemediaNet13 жыл бұрын
yes I do agree with you on that one, im continuing this topic further in the season where I go deeper in to this. - But this was the easiest way to explain the concept, and to actually visualize it in a simple way. (I couldn't animate it different actually)

I was just wondering if you could. Mimic the sound of the average person's in between silent white noise and adjustment to the noise that sound itself in silence makes it's a high pitch noise, but more of a Electronic whistle and would love to know the prolonged. Affect that may have I believe frequency sound and electrical magnetic waves are interconnected 2 two electrical Currents and the key to evolution Or a new age

this might be a dumb question but if i want to buy a BT speaker with higher quality i go for the one with more HZ? or how does it work i dont understand
@benja3036 жыл бұрын
frequency: 20hz to 20khz human range cycles. Faster for higher frequencies. All sounds are a amalgamation of sine waves at different amplitudes tambre is the character of a sound. Can very greatly. The harmonics make up the tambre of the instrument. Each instrument has its own harmonic content. This harmonic content gives the " color" or character of any frequency it plays but it is still based in thay frequency Notes are names of frequencies. So we can play an A on a guitar and piano and its the same fundamental frequency but the harmonic content of the instruments is different so we hear a different soind We can change the frequency content with EQ. Use analyzser to see what u might want to enahnce or cut.

I think you can find evidence of these waves in nature. The surface topology of the earth is shaped as a consequence of the frequencies generated within the earth. Similar to the shapes sand makes on a tray when stimulated by different frequencies.

great video, at 1:34 you've written 1Khz next 5000 Hertz. I assume it's supposed to be 5?
@cmottram2611 жыл бұрын
You stated that frequencies can go up to 20khz, which for the perfect human ear is correct, though frequencies can go a lot higher, many animals can hear about 20khz. Great video though!
