WAAAAAW I LOVED IT.......................... one of the best tutors. by just watching the first 13 minutes of filters you expanded my brain cells. I had no idea.

Very helpful as mathematical foundation for the pattern recognition course I'm taking! This background knowledge is just assumed to be known, it would have taken me so much longer to collect it on my own in books or the internet than by watching your pleasant and thorough videos! Thanks, really awesome

By doing well in the signal system's exam during my college days, i thought i understood the subject well. But after seeing your videos, i just realized that i was only good in maths without actually understanding the concepts of this subject. Thanx a ton bro. U r awesome🙂. Perhaps the best videos available online on this topic. ** just a request.....can u please teach digital signal processing also in a similar fashion!!!

Thank you so much for your feedback. I will teach digital signal processing soon.

Hi Mostafa. Thank you very much for your feedback. I might cover digital filters in depth in the future. The problem is the topic is very niche and not many people watch it. Let's see!

Thank you for this clarification, I only have a question, You showed us formulas, but how does the filter work inside ??, I mean, how does the filter prevent stuff to pass. (I would like to know the soul of the filter).
@ghufrankhanjadoon34156 жыл бұрын
If you are talking about the hardware of filter designing, you can make almost build any kind of filter (e.g low pass, highpass , bandpass) with the combination of capacitor, inductor and a resister. As for the knowledge, capacitors tend to block low frequencies and inductors don't like change in frequencies.
@georgehanna88796 жыл бұрын
Ghufran Khan Jadoon Thanks for replying. I would like to know how by examples.
@Kuchdelan6 жыл бұрын
Thanks a bunch for such a great interest to fully grasp the concept. It is all applied math! When the filter doesn't want to pass a specific frequency, the amplitude response is zero or the filter coefficients are designed in a way that cancel out each other. Hope this makes sense.
@vonjuez6545 жыл бұрын
George Hanna you need to study frequency response so you will know the idea behind filters. That is usually covered by a chapter in a test book.

great introduction, but I don't understand, why there is k in the exponent of the terms e^(i*k*w*t) in sum(over k)ck*e^(i*k*w*t). It implies dependence on the order of summation, which in my understanding should not be the case.
@Kuchdelan6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the feedback, Jaanus. Regarding your question, if there is no k, it means there is just one frequency (wo which is the fundamental frequency), i.e. the signal is single tone (single frequency). k must be present in the exponential function.
@jaanuskiipli46476 жыл бұрын
Yea, I figured already out that my question was a bit foolish. I'm kind of new to this signal processing stuff. But here comes another question, how do you actually integrate over complex number field, what phase does the dt term have? And the result is a complex number also, do you discard the phase and take only module?
