@@Frequentaudio Great tutorial bro thank you very much. I particularly like the pads design at the end. If you wanted to make a dark horror style soundscape with motifs and riffs over the top of the soundscape for Industrial techno, what would your method be in regards to writing a melody in the same key of what you created? I mean how would you find the key of what you made so you can write a melody or chord progression that would sound good with your soundscape or at least make something you know would work with it. Randomly guessing and using your ears can be quite hard if your not ear trained. Thank you.

I'll tell you from searching for a very long time and there are masterclasses about sound design, and if they are covering granular synthesis (typically with Omnisphere), THIS is the best tutorial. He ACTUALLY shows you how to understand Granular clear and really digs deep with his demo of sounds he puts in. Thank you SO much for this tutorial. It's like a treasure hunt. This is a gem and honestly, you were straight to the point and didn't BS. He truly just showed you how to sound design for making new, and refreshing sounds. Plus if you have Omnisphere, this is a perfect way of understanding how to actually use it effectively once you look at the similar controls doing the same things. If you come across this, do NOT skip it. Personally I've searched and I've never come across someone really showing you how to create new sounds that works across different samples. Gold star for this video!!

I'm definetely gonna try this! This would be great for fx sounds.

Creating a long-ass recording of random sounds is honestly such a great and effective way to do sound design for your songs. It gives you so much to work with, as you said, instead of just a few seconds of a sound. This is innovative (I think that's a good word for it)

yeah, 21:00 it gets really interesting. i love all the glitchy bass and break automation and granulating but when you can take a terrible vocal sample and turn it into spaced out ambient drones... that's when Ableton really shines. great tutorials man.

could you possibly do a vid on sound designing outside of your track. and then possibly talk about how you use what you created, to make a track. its really good stuff your doing but i feel this is only the tip of the iceburg

Automate the pitch for more fun! Also if you add an envelope follower you can modulate something depending on your volume.

my ableton live version is "intro", how can I use granulator with it?
@9tao95 жыл бұрын
think you need atleast the standard version to get it for free www.ableton.com/en/packs/granulator-ii/
@steeltrust684 жыл бұрын
@@9tao9 Standard does not suffice: Granulator needs Max4Live. This is part of the suite, or it can be added for about 100 bucks to the standard version. Search the ableton-website for Max4Live.
