Fresh Arts Presents LIVE ONLINE Harriet Riley & Alex Garden

During 2021, Fresh Arts, the arts programme for North Bristol NHS Trust, with funding from Southmead Hospital Charity, has been delighted to present a new series of lunchtime concerts featuring Live Music Now UK artists performing live on Zoom for staff wellbeing. Performances take place each Wednesday between 1pm & 2pm with space for up to 100 audience members each week.
Harriet Riley & Alex Garden’s music presents a novel, hypnotic dialogue between a highly unusual pairing of instruments. Taking in trad folk, minimalism, and jazz their captivating new sound-world, a union of fiddle and vibraphone, infuses folk tune composition with a mutual enthusiasm for minimalism and extended harmony, incorporating improvisation and unusual playing techniques. They formed a duo in 2018 after meeting through Live Music Now, a charity which works with a very diverse range of people that rarely have the opportunity to experience live music.
