@hagakuru Hey I saw a notification that you left me a comment, but I can't seem to find it for some strange reason! But to answer your question, I think the age of the tent plus the humidity where I lived caused the coating to rub off. I had it for a few years before it started degrading, so at least I got a few years of use out of it :) @Fisherman Friends Yeah it peels off after a few years! Great video.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 05:16 this tent would be greatly improved if the side windows had mosquito's net.(like in the model Queshua pop up XL ) The ventilation would be way better, since we could let it opened without the risk of some insect or even animal enter the tent through to the big side window opening. I also notice that the mosquito's net is so tight to avoid small insects to get inside, that light breeze encounters resistence to get into the tent . (putting the net between your hand and mouth,10 cm from it, and blowing it, you barely will feel the air in your hand) That is also a reason, side windows should have mosquito's net .🙂
@CampingGuidance Жыл бұрын
@Gigabit Thank you so much for your comment! Glad that you liked the video 😊 Actually my Fresh and Black Pop Up did come with mosquito nets for the side windows! I forgot whether I showed it in the video (but I must have forgotten omg!) And yeah their mesh is pretty fine so it definitely does cut down on ventilation. I guess it's meant for use against no-see-ums, because their bites can be pretty nasty. I only ever get mosquitoes where I am though, thankfully! Thank you so much for sharing your experience btw, I really appreciate it 😊

Hi there! So sorry I didn't review that tent from Decathlon :( Currently the only one I have is this one. I think ventilation should be comparable in both? The windows aren't too big in both, but thankfully they both have blackout fabric which reduces the heat IMO. 😊

Solid review. Thank you :) I've been researching this tent for a minute and I'm feeling pretty confident about getting one. The blackout liner makes it a dream of a tent. Has anyone found a way to keep the blackout lineing from flaking? I'm thinking about using some scotchgard outdoor water shield as a preventative measure?
@CampingGuidance2 жыл бұрын
@Tipbyn Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the review 😊 And yeah the blackout liner makes it so much more comfy to camp in! (Compared to the 2 Seconds Tent without the blackout). I think it could be the humidity of where I live that makes the blackout lining flake (that's my suspicion), and I used to keep it up in a closet when not in use, which builds up humidity (because there's no ventilation). I could be wrong though. I don't think that you'd need the scotchgard though, this tent went quite a few years without any flaking 😊

Question: If one uses this at home, placed next to a wall. Would it be okay to lean back and put pressure on the back, just like the back of a bed? Or will it break the tent?
@CampingGuidance8 ай бұрын
Do you mean that you're leaning on the tent fabric itself, or are you supporting by the wall? I really don't think that tents are meant to be leaned on with too much weight tho 😅
@vaibhavarora23018 ай бұрын
@@CampingGuidance Yes leaning on the wall, assuming tent is kept next to a wall at home. But I guess yes, it’s not meant for that. Also, use of loops is only on soil ground (gardens, mountains) I guess? I guess it can’t be used on solid floor of homes? Nice review though! Very informative
@CampingGuidance8 ай бұрын
@@vaibhavarora2301 Ah I'd preferably not lean too much against the wall of the tent, if the fabric rips you'd have to repair it and that's gonna be a bit of a pain 😅 And do you mean the loops where the stakes are to go through? If so then yes, I usually only use stakes through the loops outdoors! You could use bricks with pre-attached stakes, I've seen those in indoor showrooms, but I don't think many of us would have those kind of things lying around at home 😅
@vaibhavarora23018 ай бұрын
@@CampingGuidance that’s a good idea. But true, won’t wanna have bricks lying in my home. Lol. Will figure out some fix. 😊 I understand from this that if I want to buy a tent for my indoors (inside house), then it’s not gonna work unless I find some solution. By the way, I was checking MH100 vs 2 Seconds. I thought 2 seconds was larger, but I see MH100 width as 51”, and 2 seconds a bit smaller at 47” Wondering if this information is correct. (Found on decathlon official website)
@CampingGuidance7 ай бұрын
@@vaibhavarora2301 Actually the Quechua is a free-standing tent, so it will work indoors! I've used mine indoors before haha. So you don't have to worry about it. And from my experience I think Decathlon stats are pretty accurate, so I would follow their dimensions. I don't have the MH100 but I don't think that's an instant tent if you're looking for one!
