I would love to just sit down with Mr.Bruce on his back porch with a glass of sweet tea & listen to his childhood stories & gator stories & his swamp stories. I believe honestly I could listen to him & NEVER GET TIRED OR BORED!!! Hopefully he would also ask me to stay & eat!!! Much love from Mobile Alabama

Love your videos Bruce! You’re life stories about your background and taking us on the boat in the bayou showing and explaining to us how it’s done. More than just a cooking show! Thanks for sharing with us. God Bless!

Bruce would be the guy that you would want to be with if you were stranded and didn't have anything to eat! The other side of things by the time that you could go back to your home you would want to stay with Bruce! The first time that I saw Bruce and Tyler I knew that there was more to him ! Now that Bruce is known it is making him show what a great man that he is!

Dad caught frogs by hand like you. He had a box made to fit the center section of our aluminum boat and it had a trap door . We caught 1 to 2 hundred every Friday and Saturday night during the late spring. He sold the big ones to buy shotgun shells. Mom fried the front and rear legs and the back. Fried fish to go with that along with fish in a red gravey. Mom sure was a good cook. Love thea videos.

Pretty much the way I grew up in Alabama enjoying a meal of fried frog legs, except we walked the pond bank or paddled a jonboat along the bank using gigs. I wasn't about to grab 'em with my hands 'cause cottonmouths also called those ponds home. We got a pond out back of the house that the bullfrogs and cottonmouths call home. Now that I see the local grocery has froze frog legs, I'm gonna give these recipes a try...and I won't have to worry about the cottonmouths.

That brings old memories when my brother and I use too go frog hunting when we were younger on the farm. Now that I have a 28" Pro Air fryer Blackstone griddle, I will be hunting some frogs. Thanks for the memories Bruce and keep the videos coming. 👍
I grew up eating froglegs fried in flour and butter that were fresh caught that day with family and freinds. Thanks for taking me memory lane!

If ya ain't ever cooked frogs before make sure you cut the tendon in the leg. If ya don't they will jump when the hit the heat. I've seen em jump clean out of a hot skillet of oil. It ain't fun when one lands on ya.
@amethystflower87992 жыл бұрын
you mean you don't kill them first? you just boil them alive?
@user-neo716652 жыл бұрын
@@amethystflower8799 Yes you kill and skin them. Frogs, snake, and turtle will all stay moving after they are butchered. Turtle and snake will climb out of a frying pan if not butchered corretly. Since frog legs are designed to jump they will keep on if the tendons aint cut.
