Replenishes 3 fresh water tanks, with the resulting waste (including rinsed filter media) going towards our house plants and vegetable garden.
The duck weed in the middle (red cherry shrimp) tank is also used to supplement the gold fish diet.
Using six 4 gallon buckets, two to three buckets per day = 8 to12 gallons = 6 to 10% of the total aquarium volume (60+45+15 = 120 gallons), allows ~2 days for the conditioning of tap water, also with a pinch of salt per bucket.
