Correct pattern during Fantasyland rope drop is Pan, Alice, Dumbo, Toad, then Snow/Pinocchio or Matterhorn. Goal is to be in Toontown by 845. Then Chip. Roger, and Railway

Yes!! Then i would hit adventureland(indy) then pirates then HM then Thunder. It would be 10:10am by then. Perfect day.

I always hit Pan first, followed by as many Fantasyland land rides as possible during the rope drop window. I pay for G+ so don't really need to rope drop the thrill rides. Plus, I like to "build up" to the bigger rides as the day goes. It feels a little weird to go on space right after waking up and then go from that to Alice.

YO! I was there feb 10-16 and I managed 1st in line at peter twice. I believe the key those days was hotel guests having early entry at DCA.* The 12th we rope dropped only to find a closed peter pan with cast telling us to check back "later today." We stood at that rope for 5 min and next thing we know: first ship sailing. We next tried alice which broke down while we were in line so we did storybook, had pics with ariel, did runaway railway, had cafe daisy, rode space mountain (which shut down just as we pulled into port), went to big thunder next which broke down as we stood next in line to board. This was all before 10:30. Weird morning but would have been fruitful otherwise. 2 days later we were 1st in line @ peter again. My husband and I then did snow white's, pinocchio's, alice, mad tea party, space mountain twice, had ronto roasters, then went on runaway railway and roger rabbit ALL before our 10:30 at oga's. Either it wasn't a fluke or I'm like extraordinary at rope dropping. Maybe both. *Oh the other key is when they let you go at rope drop literally launch into a butt clenched mall POWER walk. Everyone behind you will be laughing but they'll be doing so in your (pixie) dust!

Years ago we had an early entry to Fantasyland, but Peter Pan had already filled up, so we ended up going to the back of the land, were practically the only guests on Small World, Dumbo, Casey Jr., Teacups, etc. and then by the time we wound our way back to the front, everything was about as clear as it was ever going to be.

I think rope dropping fantasyland is a good idea for people who buy lightning Lane and are trying to do as much of the park as they can in one day. It's impossible to do the whole park in one day. And they don't plan on riding the lightning Lane rides more than once. So not fantasyland out in an hour and do any other rides that don't have lightning lane early then start hitting your lightning lanes and lining up the return times for later. And it was awesome to meet you! I'm sorry I'm the most awkward person on the planet. 😅

the fact that any person could basically walk into the line for pirates and wait 20-30 minutes max before lightning lane was added, but now the queue looks like that, just reinforces my disdain for the line skipping system overall. I went during the second week of November 2021. the old fast pass system was out, but they didn't have genie plus up and running again...went on every ride in the park and never waited more than 40 min in line-that was for space mountain and rise. it was the best trip to the park I'd had since I was a teenager and there was no fast pass.

Love Disneyland, but as a Nevada resident going there and buying a crazy pricey daily ticket and having to stress out about the lines of each ride is just not worth the $$$ anymore. Great if you are a local and have a "season's pass" I guess.

Perhaps having fewer uniformed CMs is a cost cutting measure. After all, Disney pays for the time it takes a CM to change into uniform plus the cost of the uniforms, cleaning them, etc.

I've had success in the past starting with it and then following up with a bit of a loop hitting Toad, Snow, Pinocchio and Casey Jr (if the queue isn't too bad) From there we'll either hit Matterhorn or Big Thunder but we haven't been back since they opened Runaway Railway I'd love to see how a trip to ToonTown slots into that spot.

You were right David. I was a one of those people that always rope dropped Rise of the Resistance. You said it was a bad idea but it had always worked for me. Then a couple trips ago Rise was broken. It messed everything up. Ended up waiting too long for Smugglers Run because it was close by and only got a few rides in before 10am. so sad about early entry being seriously limited now... it was great when it was an hour... then 30 mins was justifiable just for fantasy land but now only a couple limited days a week it just makes it much less valuable. We always did as much of fantasy land during early entry and then did toon town around 8:00am and never went back for the rest of the day. Was totally worth doing

You know, I don't watch this type of thing 'cause I want to know the rope drop strategy, but to enjoy the ride, especially Peter Pan. Very cool. I have a crazy idea, though. I really enjoy coming in to the park via the Monorail. Is it possible to use that entry method to get to Toontown quickly? Anyway, thanks for the nice ride experience. "Donald duct tape..." (snicker) You know, Mickey's Runaway Railway doesn't really impress me, but I think I'd enjoy going just to see the stuff in the queue. And here's another crazy idea. Why is the Peter Pan ride so popular and so worth it? Maybe they should replicate that somehow!

How does a family with a stroller successfully rope drop? Meaning, if we are in the front of the rope drop crowd, how do we avoid having everyone get ahead of us in the ride queue while we are parking the stroller? We will be going with our 1yo and curious if having to deal with finding a place to put it will cost us the chance to avoid long wait times in the morning.
@sarahallen644511 ай бұрын
This was us last week! we were near the front of the rope drop line, but finding stroller parking further in near the carousel meant ~20-25 min wait, (got in line about 8:05 after parking). We didn't really know where to go, and the end of the queue had wrapped back toward the carousel and was outside the ropes, but the interior roped off queue was just being opened/filled so it wasn't a "full" queue, if that makes sense. But for us we were happy with the wait because it was the last day of our trip, and checking times the prior days the wait had always been 40-55min, it was a crowded time to go! But the line moved quickly and it was great! Maybe could try one person running the stroller to parking while everyone else holds a space, if they are still outside the ropes.

Being a Disney Park visitor since the 70s the worst thing to happen to the parks especially at wdw was any kind of fastpass. It totally ruined the smooth flow of the lines and ability to look and guage the waiting times. At least Disneyland hasn't screwed up every line..yet $$$$$

Having both the Haunted Mansion and Tiana's Adventure under construction does not help when considering the eye-opening wait time for Pirates. It's not a proper test of LL. If DL keeps Pirates LL after the constructions are completed (which I don't think they will) then check, I bet it will be much lower standby times. But for now, it's overwhelmed with guests. I hope they only made it LL because of those closures.
