The old King Kong was much better than the current one. It was an actual animatronic King Kong that smelled like bananas. And the fire was much more than theme park news. There is a whole list of master recordings for a bunch of musical artists going back decades that are lost now due to the fire from people like Chuck Berry and Aretha Franklin all the way up to modern (at the time) artists. There’s a Wikipedia page for “2008 universal studios fire” that lists them all. A lot of stuff was lost both theme park related and other entertainment
