Oddly, if Huo Buyi knew that Jitong murdered her husband, and even knew the method she used, why didn’t he have her arrested while in the Northwest or when she returned to the Capitol? Also, when she ran after him asked him why he wouldn’t accept her, (after exposing her as a murderess,) he told her that he never liked her but why didn’t Huo Buyi also tell her “because I wouldn’t marry a person who murdered their husband?” Anyway….he made it clear, with or without his feelings for Shaoshang, he wasn’t interested.
