Is it different to anchor in fresh than in salt?? We know so little about anchoring, we are learning as we go and in a couple weeks are posting our video about the time that we had to ABANDON the boat anchor! What type of anchor should be used for anchoring a small inflatable boat on a rocky shore, like the shores of Lake Tahoe, CA?

You need at least 3-4 feet of chain to keep anchor down with current. Just rope will not keep it down. The rope will float to much.

The chain is so the rope does get cut on debris that might be on the bottom and to add extra weight

what is it about fishing videos where I just know to skip the first 45 seconds - 2 minutes. EVERYTIME. I do appreciate the advice but man ya'll gotta cut back on the talking in the intros nobody listens to it anyway. I can see that on the analytics.
