Kyle Boodoo Thanks bro! ...Always wanted to try there...hope to soon...what kind of fish do you catch there?
@kyleboodoo25017 жыл бұрын
Well its a fringing reef where we go. So its rocky. We hold lippy, grunts, parg, jacks, parrot fish and alot of different species. We brought in tarpon from there and also a grouper. But that is on rare occasions. My fish gears are basically traditional. What is the best bait for tarpon and snook?
@KoSMTT7 жыл бұрын
Kyle Boodoo Ohhh nice...I was down there a while ago and saw some guys with a nice parg in a cooler...For snook and tarpon any live bait will work...mullet for sure...and small grunts work too! For artificials...the soft plastics work really good (DOA Cals)
@kyleboodoo25017 жыл бұрын
KoS M We mostly fish with dead bait like shrimp and sometimes herring. Toco side is full of fishing spots with lots of activity. I'm from Sangre Grande so we frequent the coast up here. I like your videos. Keep up the good work brother!

Oh and yes, they are an invasive species, booting out our native fish, so I don't show them any mercy!
@KoSMTT7 жыл бұрын
Yea...They take over every river system that they inhabit...But if I don't have a use for them...I still TRY to release them safely! Hoping to use some as bait soon!

@isaiahmayers7467 жыл бұрын
Cool! I knew from the Florida vids u were using a 6'6 but didn't know it was an ugly stik. I ordered the exact same thing from Amazon and it arrived yesterday (a 2 piece).. Still waiting on the artificial baits tho, really anxious to get started
@KoSMTT7 жыл бұрын

Next time you are river fishing with bread try using white bread instead of whole wheat. Use only the inside of the bread and roll it tight between your fingers to form a ball. Put that on your hook and see how long it stays on.
@KoSMTT7 жыл бұрын
Tell it Like it is Thanks man! I will definitely try that next time...This was just an unplanned stop, so had to work with what I had available. If I use bread again, will try it.

WHAT TYPE OF RIG AND BAIT USED FOR BEACH FISHING WOULD YOU RECOMMEND. HELP NEEDED. SOME SPOTS WOULD BE NICE. SOUTH AREA.
@KoSMTT7 жыл бұрын
Hey, for beach/surf fishing, I would recommend a banking line set up to start with...That is basically two hooks above a sinker...The first about 12 inches above the sinker and 2nd hook about 12 inches above the first...The size of the weight depends on the strength of the current/surf...Get some good bait - fresh shrimp or squid and give it a try...Not too familiar with South spots, but I have heard the Wharf in San Do is okay...As well as some of the beaches Los Iros, Quinam...
@haroonmohammed26737 жыл бұрын
Bro...I live across the street lol next time you in there let me know and local tip just use a sibiki lol
@KoSMTT7 жыл бұрын
Haroon Mohammed Serious?...Will hail you next time...lol...sabiki would definitely work...but the hooks are soo small...might swallow it!
@haroonmohammed26737 жыл бұрын
KoS M I made custom rod for fishing for tilapia using a sabiki style rig with various size hooks...next time we see each other we will exchange numbers so I can send pics of it to you...in that same river a lil further down there is a pool with some monster Tal...

@KoSMTT6 жыл бұрын
LOL....hahahaha...Sometimes you just find hungry fish! Glad that you love the vids! Thanks for watching them!
@paull.98847 жыл бұрын
I like to use canned corn for Tilapia, well in your case, flying fish :P
@KoSMTT7 жыл бұрын
Canned corn would have definitely been a better bait! And well there is a resident caiman living there, so if they have a "bad flight" he would be happy! :P ...lol...but just below the bridge is pretty deep, so they were ok!
@simonramdath60346 жыл бұрын
The best bait is dumpling
@aniljadoo27727 жыл бұрын
Next time try Sada Roti, it stays on the hook better.
@KoSMTT7 жыл бұрын
Anil Jadoo If I had a piece woulda use it...my wife probably makes that once every couple months...lol...so not readily available!
@AnsariBaksh7 жыл бұрын
Wey sah...some people jus real lucky with fishing. You look like you could throw ah hook in ah pothole and catch fish. I have some tilapia in a pond by me, but here they are an Evasive species... I can't catch them at all 😕
@KoSMTT7 жыл бұрын
LOL..."Evasive species"...Nah bro, these fish were just super greedy, like they would eat anything...Have you tried using earthworms as bait? If not small guppies with a small hook on a bobber...That might work!
