Just a bit of gaster info: "W.D." stands for WingDings, and font that can be seen when he glitches in the battle, which is why Spot said the "When I kill a speech" line. Also gaster is not even fully canon, just a FUN event. A FUN event is just an event based off a random number whenever you start a playthrough of undertale, which in my eyes adds to the "You'll finally get one canon event" line Spot says. And last thing I'll say is that Gaster is also rumored to be the previous Royal Scientist in the underground but he got scattered across all of time and space after falling into the CORE. The CORE is something Gaster made, or is theorized to have made, which explains the "Senile man couldn't build a CORE if he tried some sets" bar. That's it, thanks for reading.

It's confirmed by his followers that he was the royal scientist and that he built the core and fell into it, which shattered him across time and space. The only thing that hasn't been confirmed for gaster is his design.

The common pattern between them is multiple things - both formerly scientists, who had a big incident (Collider explosion/falling into the core) and became strange interdimensional beings (Spot because of the portals, Gaster because his existance was shattered across spacetime) plus the visual resemblances

I personally think Gaster won, he was in absolute control the entire fight, and I loved Gaster's Followers bringing spot to a mental breakdown specifically so Gaster could see Spot's true potential that he instantly theorized he had; Only to be dissapointed at it and brush it off, sending him away and leaving the battle as it no longer interested him.

The best part of this battle was for sure the visuals of the second verse and the general atmosphere rather than punches. Like damn, it's so cool that they fit both Spot going berserk and Gaster messing through timelines in one sequence.

You need to really understand the lore of Undertale to get what Gaster is saying and the references that Spot is making. W.D. (Wingding) Gaster was the past Royal Scientist who made the Underground's source of power that's called the CORE. It powered the entirety of the Underground, but during its construction, Gaster fell into the CORE, and his soul and body were shattered across all of time and space. Gaster was then forgotten about as he was sent to the Void (not canon). He was then replaced by Alphys, the current Royal Scientist when Undertale takes place, who is known for her anxiety and constant stuttering. The people that showed up during Spot's second verse when they said "It's rude to talk about people that are listening." and "Good thing he doesn't listen to C-tier villains" are his followers that talk about him in the game. That's the "cult" that Spot mentions. Wingdings is also a font, which is why Spot says, "Since you can speak in hands." and why Gaster says to call himself "Webdings", because his name is Wingding Gaster. The design for Gaster is also not canon. He was mever given a design, but it's been theorized that that is his design. Which moght be why Spot said "Give you one canon event." Because Gaster doesn't have a canon appearance in the game.

Easily my favourite interpretation of gaster I’ve seen in fan content, the way he’s doing experiments throughout the battle while also paying no attention to spot at all is so fucking fitting, while spot definitively had the better flow the references with gaster were so fucking good and well done they managed to turn what could’ve just been hints and nods to his lore into an actual story during the battle and that is so much to me when it comes to character vs character content so gaster won this for me

The reason why WD gaster takes literally zero care about what spot says at all, is because he fell into the core, and his entire being was shattered across every timeline. Think of him as Schrodinger's cat. He's everywhere but nowhere at the exact same time. He's tried fixing himself but is eventually becoming the void which is that all black area that he's been stuck in. All admit the bars here were not really that great. But if it was down to a straight fight gaster would wipe the floor with him through 17 different universes

​@@clockshock6366 Maybe not, but he does have an Implied one. his stats are absurd relative to all other monsters in the world of undertale if using the games files as an Implication. we also know that he has some sort of Connection or perhaps even generally speaking is working with the player/red soul in deltarune. His Datamined Stats are As Follows; HP: 666,666 Attack & Defense: 66,666 So yeah, Pretty Insane. For Comparison Sake, Monsters with high hp you actually get to fight are Undyne the Undying (28,000 Hp if i recall), Flowey X (Also Known as Photoshop Flowey, Who has 14,000 If i recall). For Attack And Defense, His Stats FAR Exceed every and any monster in the game, even if you're generous and use their check information instead of the raw data, with the exception being asriel dreemurr as his check information State his Attack And Defense As Infinite (Though this is slightly sketchy as the player doesn't get one shot by them.) TLDR; Gaster As It Stands Far Surpasses Every Monster/Enemy you can face in the underground if using his in game datamined data as an implied power level, with the exception of Asriel Dreemurr, who is in of himself absurdly powerful in his Godly State, and easily Outclasses the player Character (Though The feats and loose statements of Chara at the end call into question whether Asriel And Chara/the player character at LV 20 are Equals, especially given a LV1 Character had sufficiently enough determination to withstand attacks from asriel long enough to pacify him.) Untill proven otherwise, it's *FAIRLY* safe to Assume It's bare Minimum a High Diff Fight for Spot Untill it's Unveilled how strong Gaster Actually Is.

Both W.D. Gaster and The Spot seem to be stuck between realities. The Spot can physically travel through them all but W.D. Gaster can really only travel through whispers and influence, hence his cult of monochromatic followers

He only really had a few good roasts, also pay attention to the story in the battle, Gaster was ignoring Spot the entire battle, and when Spot finally snapped, Gaster just lets him know of how much of a disappointment he was in the end.
