this group deserved more than 3rd place imo. i saw this performance live and they did amazing. i love how there’s no dramatic hip movement and the slow movements made this performance even better.

This is a pretty coordinated group. Coming from experience. Many of those who talk bad about this dance group, has zero acknowledgement for what dancing is like. This is actually pretty good; actually this is perfect. Outfits and figuring out dance moves are complicated. So honestly In MY OPINION. This group is pretty good they are well coordinated and are new! They express new things and the Mask thai is something new! Never seen before in my dancing career!

You know I've seen many comments from years to years like "you're Hmong you should dance Hmong" but people should look more to the positive side. This shows that Hmong is diverse, talented, and is open to other ethnicity. That is what make Hmong unique.

Zaj Huam Seev did an amazing job! I don't agree the group should have placed 3rd. I think we need judges who really knows more about dancing to place the right groups in the respectful places. This group was unique. The choreography was simple; however, with the ladies pulling off smooth moves and graceful manuevers, they made the dance much better to watch. I never thought anyone could use Silamanee song to dance to. Zaj Huam Seev was the group to be in sync the most. I loved how the ladies were statues in the beginning then broke character by taking off their masks. However, the day must come to an end and they have to put their masks back on and become statues once again. This was the only performance I could watch from beginning to end. You ladies did an awesome job! I hope your group will continue to compete and aim for first place soon.

My opinion is that this group should have placed first. Their dance performances were creative, very synchronized with good coordination and they had good song selections. I was very surprised when they placed third unfortunately.

Lol It’s 2019. The Hmong has been in America for OVER 40 years. Why are people still saying Hmong people need to do only Hmong dances!? How boring is that. How close minded is that. 🤨 The Hmong are a people that have moved from land to land. Our culture is NOT AT ALL original. We are a mixture of the many different regions and cultures we have been a part of throughout history. It makes us unique. It makes us Hmong. We are different. There is no such thing as Hmong dancing. Hmong dancing is everything from dancing Hmong to Thai to Laos to India to Chinese to Hip Hop to whatever genre there is available to a Hmong dancer to learn and perform. To be a good performer, you have to be able to learn different things and make your twist that’s entertaining enough for an audience. Not everyone has the same taste and that’s okay. But since we’re on this video, I just wanted to compliment Zaj Huam Seev 🐉 because of how in sync, creative, and entertaining this group always is. I don’t have the words to commend them enough. I’m a huge fan ❤️

They were great in the 3rd round, excellent coordination, and great storyline, but maybe not so well in the 1st and 2nd round that probably why overall performance landed 3rd place in the competition.

Can they do their own culture dance any other than Thai? We are hmong not Thai... its awkward how you wear thai clothes, but dont really know how thai dance go... thai wanabe? Lol. All i see now mostly is a bunch of hmong dancer wearing thai dress so where is our hmong dance and hmong dress?
@jessicaxiong70246 жыл бұрын
Hmong, Chinese, India, Thai or Lao. It doesn't really matter what type of dance it is. We're learning and spreading each other's culture through dance. Isn't this a good thing? Instead of looking at it in a way of "thai wannabe", look at it in a way where dancers are being open to the variety of dance styles. And if you think about it, Hmong dance is similar to Thai dance in a way where they execute their fingers. Dancing is really a form of communication and connection between the differences of cultures.
@Hmongchannel123456 жыл бұрын
Jessica Xiong thats a creepy thing when you wear their clothes and the mask when you cant really dance their dance and all the hands and fingers movement is not good. If you wana learn thai dance and spread it out then learn how to curve your fingers first and moves first.
@jessicaxiong70246 жыл бұрын
Aib Povme I understand where you are coming from. But just so you know, in dance competitions, there are rounds for specific dances. For example, the first day would be Hmong, second would be Thai and the last would be freestyle. The fact that “Thai” is a requirement for the dance rounds, doesn’t that show that dance is dance and it doesn’t matter if it’s Hmong or Thai? Lol. Plus, I get that wearing masks may be scary but maybe that’s the whole point of the storyline/dance.
@babykookieuwu36895 жыл бұрын
Aib Povme thai,Chinese,laos,Indian it dosent matter they were part of Hmong history please appreciate that they work hard on this dance no they are not wannabes we didn’t ask for opinions so keep it to yourself don’t be so childish about I bet if you were in this dance you won’t do better than them especially thai so just shush damn so annoying 😒

Hate to said but my though is every dance group you need to create your owe song to match your dance instead of keep using laos, Thai, hmong, and Indian song.
@nonamezone8236 жыл бұрын
tbh, it would be awesome too. their first song they created their own lyrcis to the instrumental. once again itll be awesome to but itll cost plenty of money and is not easy.
