Too high of a speed limit to begin with. Second is driver's not paying attention. Imagine the money that would be pouring in if they installed red light cameras.

I went there in person, this road is almost 80% of the time green, red is not a very common portion, the light is also not facing the driver as they come around the curve so it is not in the direct line of sight for driver. of course it is too straight to have any real danger if they run it.

@@QiuyuanChenRyan916if they make the lanes narrower and reduce it to two lanes with no turning lanes it’ll reduce speeds and thus red light runners a lot, traffic flow often does not get majorly impacted either because drivers will find a new route to take and adjust their driving accordingly, a three lane road with two turning lanes is just way too much, it’s trying to act as both a highway and a normal road at the same time

If you google the intersection there is nothing obstructing the traffic light view from any of the 3 directions. People are simply not caring to stop. The speed limit here is also 50 mph. I believe no one wants to slam on breaks from 50mph so its easier to just gun it and risk the accident. Pure stupidity. Why not post a cop cruiser. Meet your monthly quota in a week.

This is dumb, its not an enforcement problem, its an intersection problem, thats why its a "trouble intersection" its not as though all drivers have conspired to obay the rules at all other intersections except this one. The fact that this intersection is an outlier in stats means something is different. It needs to be fixed

That intersection needs to be replaced with a bridge and a merge lane. Then also lower the speed limit to 40 mph in that area. As much as I love driving fast; speed limits exist for a reason.
