My first guitar was a crescent strat copy. I've never seen another one. I've also ripped out the frets and destroyed it. If you aren't afraid of a soldering iron, the wiring in a p bass isn't too intimidating. The crackling was probably just a loose connection on the jack.

I am placing blocks and shit cuz I'm in fuckin minecraft. (I do know that it is just Wet Hands by C418) On a real note though the amount of mojo this bass has is through the roof. I also play bass although my electric bass does have frets, but my electric upright doesn't so... I do think it'd be cool if you put new pickups and pots in, I replaced the pickup on a guitar and it wasn't too too hard. I also think maybe you should fill the fret holes but it seems to be fine for you so idk.
