Woah I gotta get myself a fretless acoustic guitar
@LouisBinghamMusic2 жыл бұрын
This was an easy modification. It's worth trying yourself if you can get a cheap classical you don't mind potentially ruining ;)

@@LouisBinghamMusic Oh I see thanks! Did you just remove the frets or did you fill the holes with anything?
@LouisBinghamMusic2 жыл бұрын
I just removed them and then sanded down the board so there were no splinters. You then have to lower the nut about as far as possible and drop the saddle correspondingly

@@LouisBinghamMusic Aye thanks cool! Maybe I'll try that some day

Beautiful sounds you are making there. What tuning are you using please? Thank you for sharing. I was hoping to do a video collaboration with a oud player on my video Foi A Noite by Jobim but he didn't feel confident enough so I recorded something on my guitar synth...but Oud would be great on some Brazilian stuff...

Many thanks. This is a five course tuning, DGDAD from low to high pitch. I've filed the nut and re-drilled the bridge so the top course is doubled.
@WilliamSaadGuitar2 жыл бұрын
thank you! Clever stuff, doubling one Of the strings...

@@WilliamSaadGuitar I've actually put it back to 6 single strings now (tuned DGDADE) as the top course wasn't sounding as clearly as I'd like. It's a good idea in principle though :)

Pierre Bensusan plays some nice Oud lines on his track Intuit. DADGAD tuning.
