The slowness of any Creatures game isn't due to the hardware not being powerful enough anymore but rather the sheer age of the engines. They were written when single core CPUs were the norm that barely performed over 2 GHz. Now fast-forward today and we have CPUs with at least 4 cores, all of then running above 4 GHz. Also, SSDs are very common, both NVME which uses the full speed of the PCI Express bus (it's the same data bus that your GPU uses) and SATA3, which caps out at 6 Gbit/s. Not to mention the RAM, DDR4 which caps out at 3600 MHz. So what we have here is an excellent example of frame rates being capped by the engine limit. The engine simply doesn't know how to handle the extra processing capability so it maxes out quickly and then when it is maxed out, it slows down in order to be able to handle all the extra data without crashing. Also, a contributing cause is that these engines were never designed to make full use of discreet GPUs, relying soley on the CPU. This can be seen in the Windows Task Manager as GPU Engine field for engine.exe is blank, meaning it's a CPU only task that is not being hardware accelerated by any GPU. In any case, if you want to find out which agents are consuming the most resources in any given world, you can use the built-in Magic Profiler which is accessed by pressing Ctrl-Shift-M. This will bring up a little box in the lower left corner that say "Prof" and has a number that's counting down to 0. Once it hits 0, it will vanish and a .csv file will be generated in the world's Journal directory (My Worlds/worldnamehere/Journal/). This can be opened in any spreadsheet program for review. In it you'll find a list of all the agents running in the world listed by their classifiers which is the first number listed. The number we're interested in the second one, the Updates number. In general it should not exceed 3000, with the average being 1200 which most should be. For example the C2toDS Tomato Plant agent has an update value of 9600! So plenty of those can easily cause the engine to slow to a crawl.

War Time is always inherently hilarious since the norns will go out of their way to declare how much they love each other while grumpily glaring at the world. Special shout out to Scrungus: I've never seen a Dream Norn perform the angry dance before and he seemed to stay mad a lot longer than everyone else.

Best and most comprehensive cooking-related agent of all time! Hahha I can't believe I have a whole spreadsheet of 'important' slot overlaps and still managed to overlap with the bulbous grendels of all things XD I'm planning on totally remaking my Hircine Norns at some point anyway since my Blender file corrupted(?) before I could refine my paint job, so may reslot them then, whenever that is lol.

AAaaAaa the kitchen was one of my favorite parts of Creatures Adventures and this turns it up to like, a million. Going to have so much fun with this. Also the Hircine norns are so neaaat I love the eyes!
