Freyr & Devik Featherweight 269

Harry talks us through the Freyr & Devik Featherweight 269 moderator.
Even though it has a very high rate of suppression the Featherweight 269 only weighs a remarkable 269 grams. This light weight makes for excellent handle-ability and retains the natural balance of the rifle. This is a max suppression silencer. It eliminates muzzle flash effectively and gives minimum recoil. This is something that is crucial for hunting when it is dark at dawn and dusk.

Really wish our process for getting moderators here was a bit less involved. I envy in some respects the "simplicity" of moderator ownership there. I can explain further over a pint one day. Cheers.

@Thedeercast are you guys not worried about the baffle shroud exploding on the end of your rifle as has been happening with so many F&D mods? They also have a terrible reputation with their customer service.

@@guymilleruk maybe we are very lucky, but we know a lot of people with F&D moderators and none seem to have had any issues with them!

@@TheDeercast Indeed. I have one and apart from the baffle shroud seizing to the baffles if you forget to clean it I have not had the issue. However, plenty of people have (ton of cases on SD with pics) and thats why I have stop using mine. The fact it could happen and the new model has stepped away from the take down design is enough to worry me. Shame, as I loved the lightweight design. Although my 196 did not moderate the crack that well either. In the end I went back to Stalon. I would definitely have a look at the new gen but they are very pricey for something you have to replace.
