John Lennon bought Tittenhurst Park and George wanted something like it. From a tax point of view your home is a great investment as any increase in its value is non taxable in UK. So buy a run down home and then repair/improve. Patti Boyd found Friar Park and it was an amazing investment at approx £145,000, it was very run down and needed a wealthy man to bring it back to former glory. Well, house prices soared and George fell in love with Friar Park and it became his private world and an amazing sanctuary. He housed and employed family and friends and slowly Friar Park was rejuvenated. Hopefully in time the public will be able to view the incredible gardens and detail of the Park. There are videos about Friar Park but they only give a glimpse of what it’s like

@yellyman548311 ай бұрын
@@paulascott5701 And yet, George left his wife and son over $100 million when he passed away in 2001. That is probably $200 million in todays money. George Harrison was super rich when he passed away. George got Friar Park very cheap when he bought the property in the early 1970`s. It was much more than he payed, so it was an fantastic real estate investment for George. I`m sure the value of Friar Park today is way above $150 million. I think George only payed $200 000 when he bought the estate in 1970. George Harrison`s estate also receives millions in royalties from the Beatles each year. That was also the case when George was alive. The Beatles sold more than 1 million records each year after the split, and that secured each of the Beatles a lot of revenue. George had a very successful solo career too. He sold 50 million records as a solo artist. Money was not an issue for George Harrison.
