In dem Teil unserer Streaming Serie wollen wir auf den Verein „Mission Lifeline - Search and Rescue e.V. “ aufmerksam machen. Der Verein setzt sich für die humanitäre Seenotrettung ein.
„Unser Ziel besteht darin, alle in Seenot befindlichen Menschen vor dem Tod durch Ertrinken zu bewahren. Dabei konzentrieren wir uns auf das Seegebiet, in welchem zurzeit weltweit am meisten Menschen sterben - dem zentralen Mittelmeer. Mit einem von uns sorgsam ausgewählten Rettungsschiff - der LIFELINE - suchen wir entlang der libyschen Küste in internationalen Gewässern nach Menschen in Seenot, retten und versorgen sie. Dabei kooperieren wir selbstverständlich mit anderen Hilfs- und Rettungsorganisationen. Mehrere hundert Menschen konnten wir 2017 retten.... „

@@diegomendezluna You can also spend the time e.g. on phrasing, creative individual FX, track selection or stems if you're into that, so many possibilities. Imho modern DJing doesn't need manual beatmatching, but of course there will always be oldschool vinly sets and such, just like there are other 'traditionally hand made' crafts. Have a look at Chris Liebing, he uses sync and spends his attention elsewhere to create better sets, good example of what I mean. I see beatmatching as a small and 'dumb' part of DJing, why shouldn't we let the machine do it perfectly and focus in the parts that only humans can do?

I guess the point is... How many Dj's would there REALLY be if there was no Sync Button? ;) It's about respect for the craft. Chris Liebing learned to beat match b4 using sync.

@@sammyfearon Chris Liebing creates different frequencies and EQ's 4 tracks at the same time... 4 channels up pretty much all the time. She just goes one track after the other one using Sync, anyways... let's enjoy her track selection :)
