I loved the character of Lupe in this movie, and her friendship with Frida. Valeria Golino was amazing in the part.

I felt bad for Lupe at the wedding. She looked so hurt.

Juan Vargas And yet, no one ever tried to stop him. They were complicit.

I agree. I would add, that "WE" were complicit. We were complicit at the Box Office, in our conditioned insatiability for movies from scripts that embraced misogyny, industry fomented stereotypes (of all kinds, concerning race, gender and religion). So, WE have the power to effect change in a mirrored approach in the positive sense: by expressing our outrage at the Box Office, in examining the films we watch for the "INCLUSION RIDERS" and in a more compassionate sense of the other, in our film viewing and in our daily lives..

+Juan Vargas "Industry informed stereotypes" - Stereotypes are partially formed on the truth. Be sure to tell the Weinsteins of Hollywood - you'll notice a pattern - what they think and the so-called feminist actresses.
