My mother would come to my home to take care of my boys ( and clean and do the laundry!) and when I got home she would say...thank you I’ll do something for you one day. I did not understand until I became a grandmother and my son and daughter-in-law invited me into their home to care for their daughter....now I say to my daughter-in-law ...thank you I’ll do something for you one day! oh kim....hands down...modpodge is the way to go...for the extra cost of the hard coat? not that big of a difference...and the school glue does not dry as clear as the modpodge...so...there you have it...sticking to buying the modpodge (matte) in the gallon jugs! thank you for asking kim! see you on the table precious one!

This is so creative and fun, LorriMarie.. I just finished two projects to enter into the Freda show at Ground Floor Artist in Surprise, AZ. I wish I had seen this two weeks ago so I would have been able to create my own "Freda" doll to enter, a la LorriMarie. I had been wracking my brain, trying to think of a way to make a doll, but with all the busyness going on in my life just now, and finishing two other projects I decided to let it go. I have not heard if I'm accepted yet for the two I did, but thanks to your inspiration during the past two years I can say much of my "bravery" to even try to enter something in a show came from your wonderful teaching. Every time I watch one of your videos no matter how long ago it was done, I am inspired to do something on my table. You deserve to take a rest and just enjoy playing. God Bless you and your family, you've all been through so much and many prayers I am holding for your son's recovery. Namaste

This is soooo neat! LOL I love her! I'm so sorry for all the loss you have experienced! My blessings to you! Up until last year, I had been blissfully living alone, enjoying my home and my solitude for the first time ever. (I'm 65) My oldest daughter's husband wanted a divorce last year, so, she came to live with me. Then, I was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer. In March, just as the pandemic hit us so hard, I started treatment. Two weeks later, my youngest daughter's two children, both teenaged, came to live with me. I got them enrolled in school, then, two weeks later, schools closed. Everyone has been at home with me for so long, it felt just like it did when my children were coming up. You do what you have to do! Unfortunately, being on chemo has hindered my ability to be much help, but, they all get my love and patience and support. As I do theirs. I'm grateful they have been here for me, and visa versa. Art has been my distraction through all of this! YOU have helped ME so much! Love and Blessings! Su

You mentioned using her as a tree topper. We haven’t had one for several years because I didn’t know what to make. So voila! I’m going to make my doll Japanese & use some Japanese fabric 🥰. Maybe she can hold a little gold ⭐️ to give her a bit of holiday festiveness.
