It was so different back then kids today have no clue how different it was , no cell phones no internet, imagine not being able to know anything about a movie especially a horror movie, I was 5 when this Friday the 13th part one came out so I didn't see it until my mom let me rent it on beta tape and oh shit was I scared, buy I loved it , different time movies will never be like that again the last movie you could compare was Blair Witch , that was the last of the gotcha movies I thought it was real and I was 25 by then lol

There was always way more 'sympathy for the devil' with Friday the 13th than Halloween or other classics. The tragic core lore, ending poetic like an emotional, bloody revenge of the half mutant nerds ( one of the best endings in all of film, not just horror!)
