With a desire to have an art practice with zero waste, the immensely talented Hillary Waters Fayle stitches and embroiders with supplies that are readily available to her.
Hillary utilises thread from her grandmother and botanicals sourced in her local neighbourhood to focus on the connection between people and nature.
Her stunningly detailed and delicate works have been showcased in the permanent collections of the Burchfield Penney Art Center in Buffalo, NY, the Kalmthout Arboretum & Botanical Gardens in Belgium, the United States Embassy in Colombo, Sri Lanka and several private collections.

Sublime and Beautiful artistry. But I must correct one note of the narrator's - there is never anything "ordinary" or humble about a leaf. They conduct photosynthesis and trees provide the oxygen we need to live. Humans cannot do that.
