Oh no. My theory from what I just saw is: Valence was abandoned by his Trainer when he lost his sight and that watch is all he has to remember him by. If true, that would be extremely painful for him since Eevee can only become Espon through Friendship Evolution.

@Lillian Schafer I feel like Val is blind, seeing as how his eyes are grey, and there are multiple times where it's referenced that he can't see (when he accidentally jumps on Rin at the fair and the conversation he has with Anthony are two good examples). I'm not sure why he would say they look the same, but I feel like more evidence points to him being blind.

I really have to say, this series is quite underrated. Eeveelution Squad clearly overshadowed it. Flareon is just sweet, Rin is grumpy but has a hidden soft side, Arron is goofy but nice to hang out with, and Espeon...really wonder what is the story behind him. 3:21 Seriously, that is so adorable.

Smeargle is one of those pokemon that might look weak, but if you underestimate it you can absolutely get murdered by it. That has happened to me a few times. Smeargle is probably the 4th weakest fully evolved pokemon but with it’s signature move Sketch it can copy any move. I once fought against a Smeargle. I can’t remember what moves it had but I think it had Fusion Bolt and Searing Shot, the only thing I remember was that it murdered my team. Don’t f*ck with Smeargle!

Ehhhh. Its weakness is its stats. Just have a good fighting type and no matter what its gona go down. It wouldnt have enough speed unless your running moody and stat buff baton pass

I got owned by Smeargles at the time when I first started playing competetive and I kinda sucked at it back in the day. After I learned how to deal with them the more annoying Pokémon like Ferrothorn, Chansey and Smeargle playing competetive was more fun and I just got better at it. Nowadays when I see a Smeargle I use my Mienshao to knock it out immediately.

I think I finally understand why this is the most popular one. It gives off a bit more story about Val. When he went to get the watch, it kinda represents something and he felt very protective when Friday got hurt. This must mean Val had a trainer who passed away and that watch is the only thing to remember them.
