My mum died at 59. She had asked me, when she was younger, if I would look after her when she was “old.” It seemed an odd question. In my mind, obviously I would. I didn’t have that opportunity. Everybody’s situation differs from other’s. I am just sad that I didn’t have that opportunity. I’m happy that you have somebody to come in to be with your mum so you can have a break from all the responsibilities of being a care-giver. Enjoy your walk🙏🏼🤗

After 6 and a half years of helping my siblings care for the needs of my Mom, it takes a toll on everyone. But the blessings of having the person who cared for us as we grew up with us as long as we could leaves a heart with no regrets. ❤. Gi your kit is so besought! You do amazing work! I was so happy to hear you have someone coming to be with your mom even for a short time so you and Andy can get out for a bit. You need to do that to keep your own health up and you and Andy need time together. I know it's not easy to do. My husband has also been kind enough to let us take my mom in and care for her. It's not easy to become the caregiver to anyone, even a parent. I have to remember to take care of myself at times because if I don't, I won't be able to care for my mom, our 12 year old son or my husband. Sometimes it's a vicious circle, deciding what comes first or who's needs, need to be taken care of first. You are a wonderful, caring and giving woman. Thank you for all that you do!
