I stopped gel and switched back to acrylics to avoid the excessive filing of the whole nail every 2 weeks with gel. Removing gel is more invasive then an acrylic fill... I have them not to long and not to thick of acrylic to mimic a gel nail look.

Hi Lisa- you should try OPI repair mode for your nails … you would need to go without polish for 6 days but it’s worth it to help repair your nails. ‘The Salon Life’ on KZbin did a great video about this product! ❤

Try OPI Repair Mode Bond Building Nail Serum. It’s the only thing that helped my nails to recover from several years of letting them drill on my nails. Nothing helped except this serum. It dries quickly and doesn’t do anything to the finish of your nails which I really didn’t like but I was desperate. After 2 weeks, I saw significant I improvement and at that point, I added nail envy on top. I also use Perfect Formula on top of the serum.

I had my gels removed in August and my nails are still awful. Polish just looks awful with those gel ridges! I’ve tried all the so called remedies/serums etc nothing is working. Look up Sassy Saints powder nails you do at home. No lamp needed. They are from the uk though. I am at the point of putting a base layer of gel on my nails so I can put my polish on!! Good luck.
