Friday, March 22nd, 2024 Meteorologist Jackie Layer's forecast for the DMV

Nice end to the week -- great to check out the cherry blossoms before the rain returns tomorrow. We're looking at a soaking rainfall that moves in overnight with pockets of steady to heavy rain late morning/midday. Rain begins to lift out by mid/late afternoon Saturday. This is much needed rainfall to help put out the wildfires that are ongoing in the Shenandoah Valley.
