I definitely like the changes made to Nene’s stage backgrounds compared to the originals, and Nene doesn’t randomly disappear during her down pose. I’m not sure which I prefer for the character animations, maybe I’ll get used to them as I play, but it’s strange how Pico now just stares at the camera instead of the enemy.

The changes in the art style and sprites are cool and all, but what was I looking more forward was an improvement on the sprite's and characters' fluidity in animation. Maybe it's because it's tweening, but I'd appreciate a more bopping-like animation for at least for BF just like GF's animation in fnf... In this, BF's movements just feels somewhat dull and slow, compared to GF's movements which feels more alive.

The original sprite for Pico is still superior in my eyes, Pico's poses are a lot more aggressive and straight-forward rather than sudden happy-go-lucky poses, especially his down poses in comparison to the new version. The poses just fit him better given his history.
