"Friday Today I was at home playing Twisted Wizard, when I heard a knock at the door. It was some random kid I'd never even MET before, and I was wondering why he was at our house. I tried to ask what's up, but I don't think he could actually SPEAK. The whole time he was just making these random sounds and holding up a microphone. This kind of reminded me about the first time I met Rowley, except a whole lot WEIRDER. I couldn't tell if he was trying to communicate or something, so I just said "ok." But THAT ended up being a pretty dumb mistake. The blue haired kid came inside my house without even ASKING, and then a GIRL tagged along, too. They brought a boombox inside the house for some reason, and the girl sat on it and started bobbing her head. I was wondering what the heck was going on, but then the blue haired kid gave me a microphone, and music started playing from the boombox. That's when I realized: this is a RAP BATTLE. I admit, I've never actually DONE a rap battle before, so I was a little curious. I decided to go along with it, though, because I didn't wanna miss the opportunity. So once the music started, I started singing. I'm pretty bad at singing in general, but I figured it didn't really MATTER, since this was just my first time. When I got done with my first line, he started to COPY me. I got a little mad, but I figure the same thing is going on in HIS head as in MINE. So I repeated my line, to get a fresh start. Now, I thought he would say something ELSE. But instead, he copied me AGAIN. I guess I should've told this guy that I didn't like to be copied BEFOREHAND, but by now it was too late. I changed things up a bit with a new line, but then he copied THAT, too. At this point I was getting really annoyed, so I picked up the pace and came up with a line that was pretty hard to copy. And SOMEHOW he managed to COPY it. I wasn't gonna put up with this anymore, so I changed the music and decided I was gonna go full on. So I made my line really fast paced and even tried my hardest. Don't even ask me HOW, but he STILL managed to copy all that. I decided to just give up and sing normally, because I didn't wanna waste all my energy on some random kid. Besides, all he was gonna do is just copy me again and again, so it wasn't worth it. The music finally ended, and it was getting dark outside. These guys wanted me to rap AGAIN, but I decided not to, and kicked them out. Finally, I could go back to playing Twisted Wizard without any interruptions. I wasn't expecting this to happen, and I don't expect it to happen AGAIN, but I've got a feeling they'll be back again tomorrow to finish it off. But I'm really not looking forward to THAT. I figure I should start doing my research, because I really need to know how to set up a trap in the front yard."

What makes this so good is how it actually takes aspects of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid canon and uses it to it's advantage. Greg is canonically a good singer and he hates being copied, which is BF's entire strategy in these battles. This justifies the song getting harder as it progresses because Greg just wants him to stop so he tries making it harder to copy, just to give up near the end because there's no point since he now knows BF can keep up with whatever he tries.

Rodrick has been shown to be rude, he blackmailed Greg as well. Susan Heffley (The Mom) wants her family to be a perfect family, and seems to not care about Greg's interests, forcing him to go to a play and forcing his Dad to participate on field trips even though he's working. Frank Heffley (The Dad) seems to not care about his kids in general, not really spending time with them, and only working on his battlefield model. He seems to want his kids to be "manly" and nearly sends Greg to a military camp. Manny... I don't need to explain this kid. There is an entire community called f*ck Manny.

This song reminds me of a long while ago, when I still had no idea what the Diary of A Wimpy Kid series was. When I discovered it, I instantly became obsessed and ended up reading the whole series in a week. The fact that it's making a return in one of my favorite Rhythm games is just heartwarming for me, I bet that I'll have trouble playing along with the waves of nostalgia hitting me in the face. Finally the ost is out so I can sing my praises of this song to the one’s unaware. I’ve made it no secret of my love for this song, so let me just reiterate for those who haven’t heard. This song’s dope. It’s filled with so much personality, Greg starts with normal vocals and simple notes probably because he’s condescending to the boyfriend (yes, I know bf is 19 you can shut the hell up about it), and after a while, his vocals and instrumental gets more distorted, and his notes become more complex almost as if he’s trying to one up the boyfriend, and finally at the “gettin freaky” he lets all his frustration out into his final effort, and as many have suggested, the final verses could be him cooling down and resolving. So yeah, keep up the good work. Can’t wait my dude. Edit: just noticed something. At the gettin’ freaky part, Greg actually starts copying bf’s lines, meaning that he could either be trying to learn from him, or he’s getting irritated with how bf copies him, so he starts copying bf as if to try to annoy him. THIS MOD IS SO GOOD!!!

I love this mod with all my heart, it gives me flashbacks to an elementary school book fair and I would see a light blue book standing alone on a stand, one that read “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever”. I’d reach for it and ask my mom to buy it for me. That day changed my whole life.
