The air was heavy with static, a low hum filling the dimly lit street where BF stood, his heart pounding in his chest. His usual bright eyes darted nervously, scanning the shadowy corners. The only sound he could make was a short, sharp "Beep!" It echoed, unanswered. Pico was supposed to be here, laid back as ever. But something was wrong. Something... *off*. Another beep escaped BF, this one longer, more drawn out, a question hanging in the empty air: *Where are you, Pico?* A figure emerged from the darkness. It was Pico. But not the Pico BF knew. His once carefree swagger was gone. His eyes, usually bright and mischievous, now glinted with something dark, something wrong. His smile, crooked and unnerving, twisted his face in ways it never had before. He didn’t speak. He didn’t laugh. He just stared. BF beeped softly, a nervous chirp, his circuits buzzing with confusion. This wasn’t the friend he knew. This wasn’t the Pico who would stand at his side, guns blazing, always ready with a smirk. This was someone-or something-else. And Pico, in that eerie silence, tilted his head slowly, like he was trying to remember *how* to smile. “B...B...B...eep?” BF stammered in his own language, his worry now growing into fear. Pico took a step closer, eyes glinting in the low light, that unnatural grin widening. "What's wrong, BF?" he whispered, voice low, chilling and robotic. "Don't you... recognize me?"
