Inner Tails is probably the most sorrow out of everyone. Don't get me wrong, everyone is just one of EXE's puppets, broken and twisted, but Tails' part in the song is slow and gives vibes of pain and misery, though despite all that, it is in fact canon that Inner Tails is meant to "help" others. How so? Well as shown on his down sprite (and losing icon), a red ring appears in his hollow conjoined eye sockets where his eyes are missing, seeming as if he's looking at the player, YOU, and telling you "the rings", in other words, "collect the rings". Anyone would think that he is in pain, though his stance is calm, and he doesn't seem in pain, but he still seems upset. His shrieks could be either cries of help or pain. If he's not in pain, he's just sad, extremely sad. He lost his eyes, the ends of his tails, and one of his hands (and is left with one, lucky enough to still be able to hold a mic, right?). Though, even in death, he disobeys EXE and helps the player, which adds a feeling of comfort amidst the terror in these 8 minutes of hell, not to mention, he gifts the player the most rings. Since this is technically a different version of the character, we don't know for sure if Tails is in there. If he isn't, well, he's just dead. If he is, he's given a second chance, just not in the right way. I'd like to think that he's apologetic for being pulled around like a puppet like "I'm sorry, I can't make him stop, none of us can". He's so broken, it's a fate that no one deserves. But even so, death is not a complete escape, well, not in fnf as far as I'm aware- I'm excited for the next update, I hope we get some interesting characters, possibly Cream or Sally, or Shadow and Silver. Though, it may be a while before the next update considering we were fed such interesting content. Hopefully the Faker drama and stuff we can move past and focus on the future of the mod without the weird guy who chatted up a kid on the internet.

I love the animations of everyone, Tails is aware of a player on the end of the screen and has one note anim that stares at the player showing a red ring probably trying to say: “get the rings..” Knuckles is obviously a dumbass since Boom, so he is entirely oblivious of a player.
