Been watching Trapper Mike for years, always supported his work removing invasive species in Flordia. Gators in the glades shouldn't be hunted. Come on Cowboy, you gonna do panther hunts next if the money's good?
@PythonCowboy10 ай бұрын
Is that your expert opinion? Because based off state wildlife enforcement and biologists, gator management in the Everglades is CRUCIAL for the health of alligator population, surrounding ecosystems, and safety of our residential areas.
@comfortablynumb934210 ай бұрын
Have you been to Florida?! There are plenty of gators. They have a bunch of invasive fish to eat and they were protected for so long that they came back in huge numbers. They can get overpopulated and they are in some places. Relax, Mike isn't going to hurt the alligator population. If all the gator tags for the year were filled it still wouldn't come anywhere near endangering them. There aren't very many tags issued.

I imagine it's compared to deer season. Logically man is ultimate hunter and we have to keep them in check. What's hunting an alligator other than the two legged man
@dianayount212210 ай бұрын
Unlike the Florida panther there are so many alligators in Florida. It's like hunting deer in Michigan, keeps the population healthier and is safer for everybody..

@@PythonCowboy Thanks for the work you're doing, which has probably saved many pets' lives. Florida must be crazy-dangerous, with all those gnarly critters - crocs, alligators, iguanas, toxic toads, oh, and to top it all of, monster pythons. And wild hogs. If it wasn't for brave people and brave dogs like you and yours... the problem would be far worse. Much respect.

that's a whole lotta water moccasins. i came across one the other day. i stay in sarasota county right on a little network of spring fed ponds/lake. the lot across the street is right up against the bigger lake and it's empty no house on it, just a bunch of live oaks. i saw a fat snake moving thru the grass and i got excited i thought it was an indigo snake, i've only seen em a few times in my life, so i skip over to it and before i got too close my heart sank and my hairs prolly stood up when i seen it's big ol triangle head and by then it had stopped moving. i didn't back away, i turned around and ran back across the street. not embellishing sucker was over 2 feet, maybe closer to 3. I used to see em a lot when i was younger but i was outside all day everyday then. i don't know all that much about them now that i'm thinking about it, but the most aggressive snake behavior i've witnessed was when i saw one more or less chase my buddy a nice lil distance, i cant say how much distance, but it was goin for him, i was laughin my butt off even though it's really not funny.
