God I miss it so much. It's been a little over a year since my senior season ended and I took off my helmet for the last time. Every time I hear explosions in the sky it brings me back to those days. For all the Underclassmen: work hard every day, every practice, every workout, every set, and every single rep. Do everything you possibly can and cherish it. Those 3 years go by so fast and you won't be able to grasp this until it's over. Never quit and never give up, no matter what happens.

The last game of our season ended yesterday. The first three games of the season took out a senior each game with a season ending injury.It was the hardest thing watching my team from the sidelines, and knowing that i would never play football with these guys ever again. There is nothing like that feeling of nerves, excitement, and adrenaline as your about to take the field. Gives me chills just thinking about it. I always used to listen to this song before game time, it brings out all those same emotions even when I hear it now. Man, I'd do anything to have those days back.

i know i didn't play football or wrestling or track or baseball but i swam for all four years of my highschool career. just like that field, that mat, that baseball ring/field, and that track our pool was our life. just remembering standing on those starter blocks to get the chance to dive off and give it all for your relay was something else. this song reminds me of all the water polo and swim practices my team had. Simply amazing unforgettable.

everytime i hear this song it reminds me of being out there on the gridiron, out there in that 90+ weather, busting our asses off during two a days, all the pain and hard work we put in, and all the ones who have come before us and done the same. then it all comes down to friday nights. theres no real way to explain the feeling every football player has when they step on that gridiron. tonight we kickoff our senior season, lets make it the best we can.

i don't even watch football and i'm more of a tennis fan, but this movie is a masterpiece. esplosions in the sky make the soundtrack perfect for an even more perfect movie. It's heartbraking to see them go all the way and loose, but the movie is very emotional in a beautiful way. Shows how much you can learn from playing a team sport such as football in such an environment and grow up to remeber it for the rest of your life... the most heart-touching movie ever made.

Playing under the lights is the most magical thing a high school football player can experience. Playing on the home field with people that you have grown up with make those memories some of the best. I play college football now, its not the same at all. No more lights, no more childhood friends lining up next to you, no more crowds of friends in the stands watching you and the 10 other guys striving to make a play. I would trade could football for high school football any day.

It's also amazing how a teams bond is so strong and how a player has so much love for Football. Football is a great sport, and once you figure that out it becomes even greater.

well when you think about it, some teens have played football for years before they reach high school. for some it has been their only outlet from the pressures of their daily life. football itsnt just a sport... it is a way of forming a brotherhood and comradery between fellow teammates. this song shows exactly that. it makes you think of everything that youve put in for the sport and everything thats come out. you may not understand that, nor will you ever but you, my friend, are wrong.

could never forget the swim meets that when you tried to talk or even yell to your teammate you couldn't hear because their was so much cheering and yelling for your team your relay. Cant forget those moments nobody can take those away nobody can.

A lot of friends dislike this movie because of the ending. They hate that they lose... But I love it. The ending is perfect in my mind, because it shows how heart-wrenching and painful high school football can be. Only 1 team per division can win state. The others have their dreams cut short somewhere along the road, and it hurts to have a dream die when you're only 18 years old. Those were some of the best years of my life, I would give anything to go back and play. I miss the lights...

That feeling though, it's not a feeling of the end, it's a feeling of completion. That you were warrior amoung brothers that you sweated, bleed, fought tooth and nail, to be........who you are today. Reguardless if you played football, soccer, baseball or whatever, you need that hard commitment. My hat is off to you crazycurt14, and anyone who was a true athelete in every sense of the word.

This helps me remember why I play.. Not for the glory, the popularity, or for the big plays, But for when you make a big play you go back to the huddle and youve got your 10 closest brothers patting you on the back. I'm a pretty tough guy but man i wept when the father gave the son his ring. And then later when the older guys throw the football to the younger guys. This was such a moving film, celebrating everything that's good in football. And without the soundtrack from Explosions in the Sky it wouldn't have been nearly as good

i'm a sophomore in highschool and i have a pretty good chance to start as a junior and my school just started football 4 years ago and this year we made it to state and lost in the second round but seeing the seniors leave sucks real bad, football is the best sport ever and you bond with your team alot different than any other sport

The thrill of a last-second victory; the heartbreak of coming up one-yard short; I'll never know what that's like. I guess the only thing I can really do is just accept it and move on in my life. High School football is truely the best. When your playing under those lights on a crisp friday night, well, theres no feeling like it. Football is a sport that unites population all around. High school football is the best because you know your team so much. point out a guy on my team and I can write a biography on then. You always know they have your back and they have yours. Not played in a football game in almost 40 years. I was only a little better then average, but I played it like for all I was worth. There is nothing like playing football, and having teammates. You never forget it. My advice to young guys- play each game like its the last time you'll lace them up, give it all you have, and went it is over, move on. Don't let it be the highlight of your life. Go on to do more great things, like I have. Look back on those days, but don't dwell on them.

I can understand the emotion from it on that matter though, I am a teenage girl who grew up in a hous hold were football was considered a religion. My popwarner game ended like that i was center and i pushed my qb so hard into that endzone. But when we lost our bowl game i came home and wacthed this and cryed. I love this movie. But i got football till my senoir year. Football is such an emotinal sport.

2 months ago at the start of the season i posted a comment on this video saying "Let's make our senior season the best we can" well last night we lost our final season game 49-34 to a league rival. but we are still in playoffs and finished 6-4 overall. i just feel like we have accomplished so much even if we didnt win league. but we still are making this season the best we can. -Corbin Kay #76 -Costa Mesa Mustangs Football.

I played HS ball and enjoyed it and loved it. I liked the movie. But I'll say this, if the highlight of your life is high school football, then I dunno what to tell ya. I'm 53 now, and retired 4 years ago after a 26 year career in the fire dept officer. I had many more highlights in that career than my HS football days. For y'all that enjoy the cammardrie of a football tearm, and the locker room etc, the fire service has all that and more.
