I worked in the City 20 years ago, in this area. On a Friday night, in summer, ALL the pubs would be packed out, spilling onto the streets, with dealers and banksters in suits, and office workers. Not one suit to be seen now. Glad to see the pubs a bit livelier again In Spitalfields. Thanks for the walk, Watched Walker.

I only want to watch the Post- Lockdown videos now, I hate being reminded how carefree we all were, less than a year ago. We've lived with the threat of terrorism in London, since the 1970's but nothing has really disrupted our much treasured way of life until now!
@TheCherry1454 жыл бұрын
Really? I actually prefer the energy.. a lot less people out and about. I guess it's due to my quiet and introverted nature.
@paullewis24134 жыл бұрын
I certainly would rather have London with less mass tourism but not as quiet as now, after all many businesses would not survive and in fact some have already “gone to the wall”. A city needs life and a buzz and hopefully we can look forward to a much improved situation in the next few months. It’s time to end any lockdown and learn to live again!
@lianacollet89154 жыл бұрын
Cities need people to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. I totally understand how you feel, but the spark and life has gone out of the city at the moment. I certainly hope you get it back. I do however love these walks.
@Blacktolite4 жыл бұрын
@@lianacollet8915 the spark and life of the city has not gone this guy walks around in middle class areas he does not go to the vibrant bubbling heart food cities of London he goes to the white neighborhood he go to the rich areas to go to the night classy neighbourhood this as the Royal London this is not real
@lianacollet89154 жыл бұрын
@@Blacktolite That's quite a broad statement to make Ratso. I've seen loads of these walks, before and after lockdown, and things are not the same as they were. It has absolutely nothing to do with how rich or poor the areas are. A city is a city.

San Diego, Ca here. So far so good, it seems that you are blazing a trail that is very promising for all of humanity. London especially, is a great place to examine this as it unfolds, a very diverse gene pool and high density population, the Pub scene, the clubs, tourists, etc. We will learn a lot from this free and open city and its willingness to be honest about the results as always. Thanks for this ray of sunshine. Cheers and best wishes
