Welcome to a captivating summer evening in Stavanger, Norway, where the city comes alive under the embrace of a rare warmth. As the clock ticks past 8 PM, the city's residents and visitors alike spill out onto the streets, eager to make the most of this precious warmth. Restaurants and cafes along the harbor are abuzz with activity. Stavanger's unique blend of old-world charm and modern sophistication makes every corner of the city a visual delight. As the sky darkens and the stars begin to twinkle, Stavanger's warm Friday night takes on a new allure. It's a city where the day gently transitions into night, where the warmth of the people matches the embrace of the summer night. In Europe it is common to have city areas and streets only meant for pedestrians or bikes (in Norway we call them "Walking Streets"). They may be filled with shops, restaurants, pubs, hairdressers etc. But no cars (unless perhaps for merchandise deliveries etc). So the streets are often paved in cobblestone or similar. I feel that is less common in the U.S. (Unless inside the malls, usually closed in the evening/nights 😊)

@@taccamine8312 The US really doesn't have that at all. Maybe only a few places. In my state the closest is small towns downtown but even then the towns here have big, busy roads that cut right through the center of town

It actually rarely snows in this part of Norway. But if there is suddenly a lot of snow, then of course there will be chaos😅

Mah! You find grafitti all over Europe and it is much more random. In the US it is often connected with criminal gangs. Not here. I used to do grafitti in Stavanger and around northern Europe when i was a teenager. We were not into drugs or violence. Even in big european cities grafitti does seldom mean that the area is unsafe. In Rome, Athens, Barcelona ect. In southern Europe grafitti is everywhere.
