Now you just can't start your morning in a negative way or that's going to ruin your whole day because you have to pump yourself up to the trailer unloaded because if you come to work in a bad mood its going to feel like forever to unload the truck. Too the young drivers just getting in to foodservice just take a deep breath when things are out of your control and once you learn the customers and where to park the job can be a lot of fun. PLUS your regular customers feed you once I learned all my customers for my last 6 yrs I never brought food they feed me breakfast, lunch ….YEAH BUDDY.

I worked for a good service company and always chatted and joked with the SYSCO drivers. We have a lot of the same customers and I would tell them to pronounce the company name properly…..it’s SUCKO One day at the dock delivering to a mall the SYSCO drivers come over to check my load and was impressed. He then invited me to check out his trailer and pointed out that his 3 deliveries to the food court was mixed in with all over the place on 7 different pallets. Told me he questioned the management about how pallets are built and the response was “That’s the way it is and always will be. Next question”. Why can’t they….stopped him mid question with “That’s the way it is and always will be. Next question”. But I don’t….” That’s the way it is and always will be. Next question”. Around here most SYSCO drivers don’t have much good to say about the company except they pay well. I made more with easier loads to work
