Friday Sews Ep 73, new makes, birthday and why I can't sew with my new fleece fabric

Your kitty is so cute, I'm not surprised you don't want to turf him off his comfy bed. I am supposed to be sewing up a toile of a dress that I am wearing to a wedding but keep putting it off. Instead I am sewing comfies, sweatshirts etc because it is so cold here. Like you, I use Ellie & Mac patterns. They have a free pyjama one and I use the top of it to make my husband's t-shirts and sweatshirts and they fit perfectly. There seem to be a lot of bugs around at the moment, probably because it has been cold for so long. I hope you feel better soon and get to enjoy your sewing!

I had to laugh because I'm watching you as I clean my machine and change the needle! Those PJs look cute! I'm working on several quilts including one like Adam has completed; in the sewalong, we're at Block 4 which features Owl!

Several quilts at the same time? Wow. I can work on a few garments at the same time but not quilts. They are too precise for me. Can't wait to see your quilts I am sure your machine is very clean now :D I love sewing for Alice. It's more fun than sewing for me :) and I know she appreciate it :)

I also got some of that fleece from the same supplier…I live in new Ross Co. Wexford….i also get cream fleece too and I made Tilly and the buttons Bertha cardigan from it I did cream arms and waist band and the rest in the leopard fleece..it looks great. Great idea about the pads too. My son married a lovely polish girl in may last year and they have just got back from Poland and it was freezing with quite a bit of snow. So wrap up Lovely flog Agata ❤😊

Your cardigan sounds lovely. Which part of Poland your daughter in law is from? I am planning to pack warm clothes only :) We visited Ross a year before the pandemic started. Lovely place. We adore Co Wexford.
